red speckles on 42" plasma screen
Have recently upgraded from 36" crt to LG 42" PLASMA. I have noticed there are lots of red dots(speckles) appearing randomly all over the screen especially noticeable on any picture with a black background. If I switch the T.V to an input with nothing attached to it (just a black screen)they are still there and more noticeable as there is no picture present. Is this a problem with the T.V or are there any adjustments that need to be made. When a picture is present you do have to look very close to notice the spots and the picture is very good(spots aside).Any help much appreciated.

What we get quite a lot of is on light images, where there is lots of green shading. over indiscriminate parts of the screen. Doesn't matter what input we use. HD, analogue terrestrial, Scart. That I cant get an asnwer to. JC |

At a guess, I would first suspect the PDP (the actual plasma panel).

I hadrly ever get the red speckles, only occasionally and when i select a channel with no input the screen goes blue, so no. The green shading, yes, it still does it with no input. JC |

Sounds like a faulty panel.

if there always in the same place its stuck pixels
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stuck_pixel, some times you can fix them with a video that changes between colours fast, over a few hours or try this http://www.wikihow.com/Fix-a-Stuck-P...an-LCD-Monitor |
