Sunita

She was a trained barrister, you know

And she got out quick !!

Dean. Dull to watch and someone should have cut his guitar into firewood, but he could hold an intelligent conversation and was an all round nice guy- able to see others points of view and empathise with those who weren't quite up to intellectual challenges.
( I'm thinking Helen here... gawd knows how he would have reacted to Jade)

I think Sandy was the cleverest HM to date. He made interesting conversation, & I liked the way he could effortlessly zone in on the insecurities of the annoying HMs for no other reason than because he could. He also left his own way on his own terms. I liked Sandy, don't suppose they'll ever take the risk of casting someone like him again though...

I would say...

BB1 - No idea, didn't really watch it... All seemed like a bunch of ********s to me.

BB2 - Dean. Elizabeth had the degree but she was a bit of a prententious cow.

BB3 - Probably Adele. But then, next to the others the idiots on this forum would look intelligent.

Yeah, he'd make a perfect member of this forum. I thought he was ignorant.

Well no, he was boring. Wouldn't have minded him if he was funny, but he wasn't even that.

PJ was probably the cleverest actually. Adele, the more intelligent though.

I think Dean, he was able to communicate with all of his housemates and vary his level accordingly without being patronising.

I think Dean as well. He was obviously an intelligent man which he showed by being able to speak to everyone as an equal.
I like the way he was sort of 'fatherly' to Helen and Brian without speaking down to them.

Of all the hm's ever, he would be the one I'd choose to spend time with.

I tend to think Dean too. Or are we opting for him because, of all the intelligent HMs, Dean was the most likable?

I think you're right. Of all the hm's who seemed to be more intelligent, Dean was the only one who didn't seem 'up himself' and didnt act superior to the less bright hm's.

As compared to,say, Elizabeth he seemd to be able to treat each person as someone with their own merits and didnt look down on those who were not on the same interlectual level as himself.

That's true, and he also had a good sense of humour.

When it comes to Big Bro 1 there were only two with any brains....Nick and Mel...Nick lost out on the evil genius of his schemes and Mel got caught up in the preying mantis thing...there's something about being evil that increases I.Q.

Big Bro 2 - Dean was bright....Liz if she remembered her head wasn't meant to be up her arse....Stuart was probably bright but had no self control over his evil

Big Bro 3 - Sandy, Sunita....wasn't PJ in the law business as well?

I was impressed with PJ adding up the shopping list with all the housemates watching as well as the cameras on him. He was also quite bright at sussing out relationships between the other hm's e.g adele and jade.

Interesting conversation..................

Where would you base intelligence?

Dean he was able to "suss" everyone out but still able to teat them with respect.

Or Jade........... Most likely the HM who has made the most money in a short amount of time?

Heh - Money being given to you for no effort at all isn't intelligence, it's luck...unless she played it that way...in which case how could she possibly have known that acting like a bully and a bitch would get the media attention like that....especially after the public was howling for her blood until Endomol changed it's editing poilicy and sent a pyschologist to tell her to change......

Jade played herself in the house of that I'm sure............! But I don't think for one min she went in there to win. She was hedging her bets and she came out on top

There is nothing like being brought up on an "estate" to focus ones mind when it is needed!

good luck to her! I just hope she remembers where she came from, and stays grounded.

Nope - You give her far to much credit...she was lucky and has a good team of managers (that was given to her...not cleverly selected)...we'll see how intelligently she manages her money in the long run...but to say she's in the upper half of BB I.Q.'s (either in street smark I.Q. , classic intelligence or pure animal cunning I.Q. depending on what spin you wish to apply to it) is stretching credibility.....she's in the bottom quarter I.M.O...down there with Craig and Helen (both of whom enjoyed some success without having much upstairs).........

I have to agree, particularly with reference to Craig.

Actually, intelligence can be measured in different ways, you know. Sunitta may be intelligent in a "bookish, let's see how much information I can cram into my head, revise, revise, revise, do well in my exams, I'm a trained barrister I'm NOT getting into a kitchen drawer" kind of way (hi, Sunitta, if you're reading this ) but she didn't or couldn't interact very well with the others so in that respect she was a bit on the thick side.

Although you could argue that the quick assessment of her situation and the positive actions she took to redress it was an intelligent move.....Not liking her associates isn't a lack of social intelligence but more an expression of it....you could argue......

... we'll never know as she just wouldn't come out of her shell.

I do agree that there are various ways that someone can be considered intelligent and being well educated doesnt mean someone is actually clever, just that they have studied.

i stick by my original choice of dean as he was probably the one who combined being intelligent in an educated sense with being streetwise and an astute judge of character.

Hmmm... think Charleah might be on the right track (I'm not beyond a bit of bn..ing). Intelligent, Clever, Knowledgeable are different things in my mind.

Clever. Can be cunning, manipulative, street-wise, witty, etc.

Knowlegable: Acquisition of knowledge about 'things' through studying or experience.

Intelligent (above average IQ): Can be clever and/or knowledgable. In fact can be neither but have the 'potential' to be both.

So.......imho, most of the hms, could qualify to some degree or another..... please submit exceptions....

What a clever link Swing, see comments above

Addiction? so long as it's not catching I haven't done it once yet.

I thought you said you were not a technological wizard!
