I couldn't see a thread on this song so I thought I'd make one.

For those that don't know Mutya was the girl from the sugababes who left in 2005. I really like her song "Real Girl", her voice is great in it and I hope she gets a good position in the charts, a really good effort and I'm looking forward to her debut album.

What are you're thoughts on the single?

I cant stand her, never have. I especially dont like her since she has made bitter comments towards the Sugababes when it was her choice to leave, it has really backed up her bitch reputation. HOWEVER, she looks and sounds good in her new song. I quite like it, its quite catchy too

She looks absolutely aweful in the video - like someone just threw up on her. Why does she bother wearing that nice white dress when her horrible tattoo-inflicted arms make her look repulsive. But the songs not half bad, bit annoying, but promising.

She is a "real girl"... "true to herself" so the lyrics go.

Clearly, Jade Goody is now writing songs.

I quite like it, even though some of the chorus vocals are a bit off-key.

I like it. I always thought she was the one with the talent in the Sugababes. I also like her track on the new Groove Armada album, Out of Control (Song 4 Mutya).

I hope she does really well, I've heard other tracks that are going to be on the album and I think she sounds fantastic,

I like Mutya, but I'd rather she'd have came out with an original song as opposed to just ripping off one of Lenny's songs .

Take away the Lenny Kravitz sample and it's a very average song.

Take away the Lenny Kravitz sample and it's someone singing on a train with headphones on.

Bingo.

And as for being "the talented one" in the Sugababes - the group would have collapsed ages ago if it were not for Keisha.

Song is ok but nothing to remember.

Pity she spoils herself with all the bitching, if that is how she feels she needs to go to publicise the single maybe she isn't confident the music can stand up for itself.

The other ex-Sugababe, Siobhan Donaghy, it 100x better than Mutya. Mutya just sounds like the Sugababes without the other two!

This is her new single: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D__RpB3pK68

Yup. I have the album () It's pretty good; not as good as her first one but good nonetheless.

Ghosts, the song, is pretty amazing!

Can't help but feel the chorus sounds too high for her, like she's straining a little, good tune, but that puts me off.

(As do the bitchy, 'I'm not a bitch, they are,' comments.)

I listened to this from start to finish last night (I had to take the medication first ).

Maybe it is my ears, but I am sure at one stage of the song she goes out of tune. And as for all the bitchy stuff that some of you have commented on, you must know by now that it is okay to be a bitch/c*** to anyone as long as you remind everyone that you're "being real" and "honest" with people. Personally, I hate this culture which seems to have grown over the past couple of years.

I am not a fan of Mutya Buena or Sugababes, I liked some of Sugababes songs, but never bought any of their stuff.

I was given Mutya's New Album "Real Girl" Last night, and I am totally shocked. I wasn't even gonna listen to it, but I put it on last night as I was bored and was shocked at how good the album is.

It is very well written and produced.

I don't like a couple of the songs on it but it is much much MUCH better than what I thought it would be. It deserves to do well.

"Real Girl" is an excellent summer pop anthem in my opinion.

Just a shame about the lyrics...!

I like her voice.

There's a new Mutya interview on ilikemusic.com. She's done a single with Amy Winehouse
