I personally never really liked Connie Fisher, but recognised she was very capable for the part, I guess thats one of the problems about casting the show on reality TV though.
Also the reason why i said the thing about attacking, is that I know that there are a lot of Lee fans here, and it might feel to non-Lee fans they are being pushed out. Call me an ole softy but everyone should be able to give their opinions... no matter how wrong they are It's fair enough. I totally understand why Lee's fans are wanting to stick up for him and get their opinions across too, that's what these forums are made for after all. LOL, whatever you say...

I was quite relieved when Lee mentioned that he'd cried after the show the previous week - I'd not seen many signs of his having feelings before then. A lot of posters on the "Dress Circle" board know him and say he is a nice guy. Who knows? I'd love him to win....
As for my least favourite, that has to be Keith. To me he's so bland you could spread him on bread. And he holds no attraction for me whatsoever. |

Lewis sorry he blew the lyrics in two songs last week, just not good enough.

Thinking about leaving and threatening to leave are two entirely different matters. I'd be shocked if Daniel doesn't feel the same way after the entirely unfair comments he got from Zoe himself.
scenes and thoughts of leaving from Daniel! I was surprised at Lee because I would have thought, with his experience, he would have been able to deal with citicism better than that. (And he will have to deal with it better if he becomes Joseph). I repeat again that I thought the cricism was unfair. This is not a bash Lee post, but surely we are allowed to say what we think about him! |

I am quite sure that in his career Lee will have had critism before, part and parcel of the business. I wonder was it more a crisis of confidence and the fact he couldn't rely on his voice made him question his part in the show - not the comments necessarily.

Keith - looks totally wrong - far too weedy and certainly not handsome enough. Why on earth would his brothers envy him? Just cannot see him being a commanding leading man.
Could never play an older man convincingly - even if he does have a side parting. Would make a great Benjamin though. |

My least fave is Lewis. All the rest seem to improve as the weeks go on. Lewis seems the exact same as he did in week 1.

**runs and hides** I still think he's great - I hope that he's given a better song this week and we can get back to the nice smiley Daniel that we all (and I speak for the Dan fans!) know and love

No need to hide - I think your comment just proves that the song choice is so vital in this ... Daniel may have lost some 'floating votes' because others have been given songs that have enabled them to shine.

I guess we will just have to agree to disagree, re Lee. Personally I don't see it at all but there you go. I understand where you are getting at though, I personally never really liked Connie Fisher, but recognised she was very capable for the part, I guess thats one of the problems about casting the show on reality TV though.

He does not need smiley. We've seen that for weeks in a row. What he needs is a sad, slow ballad where he can show some sadness and emotion - or no one will ever be able to believe he can pull off singing Close Every Door which requires that.
What I did mean is that I don't think Daniel has to prove any more that he can do 'tough, mean and moody' .... I know what I mean that I'm trying to say - it's just coming out as gibberish

Lee - I just can't warm to the guy! - he has some smug areas of attitude and for someone with his experience throwing away his dummy was totally out of order - still don't like his hair, it looks false! as bad as who was it - Mr Perm footballer Kevin Keegan
Would love to see a final of Daniel and Ben! |

I can't see Lewis or Keith as Joseph on stage - they have no presence or command in the role.
I'm afraid that Daniel on Saturday - when he was supposed to be putting more ooomph into the performance - was awful! I usually love his singing, but I can't see him as Joseph either. Strangely, for me, Craig has come on in leaps and bounds lately although I wasn't struck at the beginning. It has to be about far more than just the voice, and for that reason Lewis, Keith and Daniel don't do it for me. I haven't really warmed to Lee as an individual, but he has everything it takes for this particular role. They're all competent to varying degrees, but they aren't all Joseph

Lewis, Keith and Ben seem too wrong for it ... maybe it's their age ... maybe just their stage presence. And song choice plays such a big part - get a duff song (lets face it a lot aren't liking the mean and moody Daniel) compared to a nice slushy ballad (Keith anyone) and it changes peoples opinions. |

Until they sing the same song, from Joseph, with a bit of the acting thrown in with it, it's very hard to say who fits the Joseph role the best.

I don't like Ben. He's the 'Darius Denesh' of Joseph.
He's too smug (apart from when he's trying to do the whole 'puppy-dog' look when he's being critiqued). And someone needs to tell him that shouting "C'MON!" and punching the air everytime he gets through is very aggressive-looking. This ain't a footie match... |

You can almost see his mind ticking over as to what his next move is as he's performing. He's spent so many years at Stage School he's almost institutionalised! Keith on the other hand is fresh and natural with a stunning voice. I'm not looking for him to be Joseph, but I do hope he reaches the final and gives the eventual winner a run for his money........which I think he will!

I never liked Darius, but as I was reminded last week last week by someone within the industry, he is still doing well while others have disappeared! Ben has lots to offer and is still young, a good manager will turn him around, best John Barrowman was the same at his age. |
