Mine too. Why is it so odd that a bloke should have curly hair? My OH did, at least when he had hair!

it's only won two awards (1992)

Sure, thms I absolutely see that, but it doesn't seem fair to test everyone else, but give Keith an easy ride.
Unless he is the chosen one and they're keen to show him off in the best possible light

I have to say that Keith really irritates me. He's so bland and has no attraction for me at all. Lewis is a decent kid but with no charisma. Craig's okay but doesn't do it for me. Ben's not bad looking (reminds me of a young Michael Ball who was gorgeous when he was young) but I don't fancy him at all.

Which leaves Lee, who I'm far too attracted to for my own good.
(I enjoyed doing them all in reverse order like Miss World there!)

Ben. He looked like an idiot, going through Lee's things, and it was even worse to see him backstabbing his own trio members. Then at the beginning of the results show you can see him reaching out for Lee's hand, all matey. Right.

Arrogant little fellow. Needs to get a love song that can show off his range of emotions from a to b.

I'm not particularly attracted to Ben, but I am actually warming to him as a performer more and more. Not in the league of Lee, but now that Daniel is out, definitely my second favourite in the competition. From what I've seen in the VTs I'm intrigued by his relationship with Lee, it seems to me to be a bit of a love-hate thing. On the one hand, I think he resents Lee's superior talent, but on the other I think he admires him and would like to be pally with him. I imagine that Ben doesn't like hanging around with the teenyboppers and would like to count himself in with the real men. Or maybe I'm reading far too much into it and am talking bollocks, who knows

Be thinks he's better than everyone else, and is very jealous of Lee because Lee is so clearly more talented.

imo they have all been treated fairly. i live in glasgow and i will not be able to see the show. i'm just going by ADWD and in that respect i like all of them. i only plumped for craig because of the way he sang 'the long and winding road'. it was just beautiful. i could sit for two hours listening to his voice. i know i could not listen to the others for two hours, but i can happily watch any tv show they appear on or listen to their albums.

Yeah, but there seems to be more layers in their relationship than just that.

Maybe - Ben isn't the deepest of boys though is he! layer 1 - i love me, layer 2, i love me more.

Lots of layers in an onion. Ben is so shallow you can see bottom.

Laurie, I think that you have summed up the relationship very well as I see it. There is the performer in him who looks up to Lee as being successful and talented and the little boy who wants to be the favourite of everyone.

You are right llewop (and Laurie). I think that people should remember that he is 18 years old and still a kid. Yes I know Lewis is 17 turning 18 soon so he is therefore younger but as I have said earlier, I think the other Joseph's are better at hiding their true colours - Ben is just too honest!

Personally I thought Ben arrogant at the beginning too....but...I think stage performers are often very different in real life..I know a few and this applies at amateur level too.

You have to show some arrogance and prescence on stage. After all, it's a tough market out there.

Ben's gone up in my estimation after last saturdays performance. Maybe it was just the rock n roll song that suited him. Dunno..next week I'll see. Previous weeks I doubted his vocals.

If he does a good performance on saturday then I think Lee has to worry

Back to OT..Craig..makes my skin crawl. Sorry Craig

Very interesting interview with Daniel on The Stage website. Sorry I don't know how to do links but hopefully someone else will. Makes clear how hard they are working, and how bizarre it is to expect performers to improve in leaps and bounds every week. And that they all get on. And how inconsistent the panel are, which I agree with. Makes me feel that all the boys shortlisted for Joseph deserve a lot of respect. Yes, it's a great showcase and great training and it will be worth it for all of them (hopefully) but it must be an incredible strain as well and very hard to keep a sense of perspective. They aren't even encouraged to watch themselves back, which I find very strange. I think they are all doing brilliantly.

Least Favourites:

1 Ben (too cocky and to be honest I think he's had more bad performances than good)

2. Lewis - bland and not my idea of Joseph
