Lewis is my least favourite, I just don't see a spark in him.

However, since ALW keeps saving him and two of my earlier choices have gone out (incl the brilliant Daniel ) what do I know !?!

I can't really say least favourite as they have all done well to get so far, though sometimes I wonder how some of them did get through.

Lewis is still so raw and time will run out for him and sadly I don't think Lee is what this role needs this time, otherwise we are just back to safety first theatre!

Personally I'd rather have safety first, it has to be better than cracking on notes and crying in the wings!

This is what has concerned me all along with this series. For all the trumpets and fanfares about 'discovering' someone to play Joseph, the underlying feeling has always been that Lee will just sail through because he has more professional experience.

As you say, safety first theatre and how boring, not to mention a predictable result.

exactly - i would also rather have someone talented and actually ready to play a lead rather than someone who could mess the whole show up.

I somehow doubt that they would mess up. Even allowing for the limited time before the production, should one of the young performers win, there would be intensive work done with them to ensure they could do the job.

I still believe that Lee is the 'chosen one' no matter what others might say, but the one interesting thing is that the level of interest on here doesn't always match what is felt in the outside world. On the night of the Final who knows?

Maybe Lee won't be the obvious winner after all.

LOL - i find it amusing that people go on about a "chosen one" - regardless of what reality tv show it is - the judges each prob hav a fav, the public have a fav, i imagine ALW prob has, but its not some great plan written in the stars or anything!

I'm a Lee fan, so obviously I'd love it if he won (though not in the sense of being the 'chosen one' I'd prefer if he won it on his own merit). Given our final four, there is no doubt in my mind that he is the best allround talent and deserves to get the part.

As you say though, on the night of the final, anything could happen. If Keith does make it to the final (and it's looking that way) and especially now that Craig's gone and the Scottish vote is no longer split, I'd say that he has the support to take it. I'm scared

Why do people always assume Scots always vote for the Scots? I support Keith for the same reason as I support Lewis and supported Chris B - because I think they are great and have talent and because I think they would be good as a Joseph!

If the semi-final was down to the public vote, as is the Final, then I'd probably feel differently.

Whilst ALW has the final decision as to who goes and who stays, as he has through the rest of the series, then I believe that it makes it far easier to shed someone that might make a difference to the final outcome.

The only true result would be a series that was entirely up to the public vote from start to finish.......I wonder why these reality shows never take that risk?

I understand your fustration Jo!

I am Irish and people always make an assumption on reality shows that people from the provinces vote for their own regardless!

As a provincial person can I please state that it is not the case!

Plus do you actually know that the population of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland is very very small in comparsion to the rest of the UK. So even if people did vote based on nationality in the other UK countries, it would have very little impact on the end result!

I understand your fustration as well.

I remember how annoying it was during Big Brother last year, when people just assumed that all Welsh people would be supporting Glyn whom I personally disliked.

Apologies guys, I did not mean to suggest that all Scots vote for their own all of the time, of course that isn't the case. Scots tend to do very well in these type of reality TV shows and the concept of 'the scottish vote' has been banded about since the time of Michelle McManus and was talked about a great deal in last years x-factor, re the McDonald Brothers. I have no idea whether this has an impact or not. It is very clear that Keith has a huge fanbase anyway. All I am suggesting is that he might pick up a few extra votes in the final from the Craig supporters.

I wish we had some idea of how the votes have been panning out so far, they've been really tight lipped about that!

american idol for example is all about the public vote - i think thats a better way of doing it. if the judges on shows like ADWD are not confident all the people they put to the finals can cut it then they should eith spend more time with them before choosing who goes through to the finals, or, put less people through.

I couldn't have put it better myself.
