Problem with Freeview channels on Samsung LE26R74BDX

I'm having problems with the Freeview channels on my Samsung LE26R74BDX.

I was missing some channels, so I did another channel scan but I'm still missing these channels:

Channel 5
BBC Four
abc1
QVC
bid TV
Price-drop TV
Five US
Five Life
CBeebies
BBC Parliament

I'm sure the problem isn't my reception because I was able to get all these channels with my old set-top box.

Is there anyway I can make the channels appear or will I just have to connect a set-top box to my TV?

I'm a bit annoyed because I wanted a Freeview TV so that I didn't have to buy a separate set-top box.

Thanks.

FFS, will you stop starting new threads?

Oh, and you've posted over 35 THREADS regarding the purchase of your new TV.

Don't you think that's a little OTT when it could all have been answered in 3/4?

If you don't like my threads/posts, don't read/reply to them.

I like to think i can help out where possible.

You never seem to give any reason for people to help you, though.

I have found your information/advice helpful.

The reason I want help is because I can't work out how to solve these problems myself.

I never knew about the Samsung having a signal problem (from your message on my other thread).

It's not a specific problem to the Samsung, it just sounds as though the tuner in there isn't as strong as the one in your STB.

Could you connect an outside aerial to the set to try that?

I don't think I could because our aerial's in the loft and it's quite a way from my bedroom.

I think I'll just have to use a set-top box if I want the missing channels?

Check the TV on the aerial downstairs, to confirm it works.

If it does, run a cable from there via a booster?

Or do it through the loft? It's fairly easy.
