Denon 1930

I currently own a Denon 1730 and it's a very good piece of kit, I am thinking of stepping up to the 1930 but this uses Faroudja DCDi and my Pioneer suffers from the Macroblocking bug when Faroudja processing is used.

The question I have is whether DCDi is applied as processing for HDMI out or whether it is limited to the component out sockets ?

Anyone out there clear this up for me ?

Cheers guys

The Faroudja chip is used for deinterlacing so will apply to both Component and HDMI progressive outputs. I've read that a workaround for the Macroblocking bug is to output video as interlaced and let the TV do the deinterlacing.

.. but then there would be no point in upgrading to the 1930.
