you should be able to use it with just the wires you have at the minute....you will have to find a spare channel on your TV (channel 8 maybe) and tune it in.....as if you were searching for a TV channel.

The third wire you are referring to sounds like a scart wire, which would perhaps give you better picture quality, and the ability to tune in automaticaly by pressing the AV/Scart button.

So what do you think the wire going into the TV aerial socket does?

I've no clue whatsoever, but it won't work becuase i've tried tuning it in. I always remember it taking alot of wires to work.

The wires you have will work fine, there are 2 different ways to connect it to the TV , Scart and RF, You have RF cables (which were included in the package in case the TV you used hasn't got a scart socket) and that should be fine.

plug the lead into from your N64 into the TV aerial socket, turn the N64 on, and search for the signal on your TV

that's all it takes - believe me.

You can use either the RF (aerial) connector that you already have or you can use RCA (the red, white and yellow phonos) to connect your N64 to your TV. You definitely don't need both.

If you can't tune your TV in to the N64 signal then try and find the RCA cable and use that but you definitely don't need both.
