Hi Guys

I recently inherited a Philips 28 inch Widescreen tv. I've plugged my Sky+ box in the first scart socket (EXT 1)

When I flick onto Ext 1 to watch Sky theres a white E1 icon that to my annoyance sits proudly in the top right corner of my screen.

Any ideas how to remove the bugger? I've tried everything. I have no manual not that it would help.

There is probably a button on the remote with perhaps an "i" on it which toggles the onscreen graphic on/off.
Barring that there may be some in the setup menu for the level of on screen display (min/normal) which if set to normal for some bizarre reason leaves the channel number on screen.

I were always under the impression that 'EXT x' was their format for the OSD.

E1 sounds like a fault code?

after a quick google search E1 is a fault code but i haven't a clue what its refering too...

Try pressing and holding the i+ key on the remote for around 5 to 10 seconds.
