I reckon it would be great if the house became a student house. Corrie is lacking characters in that age group, and it'd be great to see a group of rowdy, intelligent, bohemian students move in and rock the street!

It'd have to be done well, no stereotypes. Young, credible, interesting characters. Not a completely cliched group. Its very realistic though, so many students in Manchester.

And f it didn't work, no messy half-hearted exits (like Joanne's), they'd just move on after a year.

Liam owns the house now - he might just live there by himself.

Maybe Leanne will if Liam and her relationship get stronger... either the Paul stuff will make it stronger or break it... though I heard she goes

Really? I never knew Liam owned it. I just think its a shame when a house becomes vacant and gets filled by existing characters. Its the best opportunity to bring in new people, rather than the awkward introductions some characters get?

I think a student house would be great. They've tried to introduce young characters with the Mortons, but its daft introducing a family with scores of kids moving into a tiny house. Why not do away with the token dad, grandad and kayleigh?

What? Liam and Carla? Surely when Paul dies Carla will be in line for a hefty life insurance payout, if anything she'd move to a more impressive pad, definately not to a terraced house on the street!

I think that probably Liam will live there alone/with Leanne if they work out.

Paul Duckworth? Well, it'd make a change from her dating whoever happens to be running underworld at any given time. I'm anticipating a lesbian relationship with Carla after Paul snuffs it and she inherits the factory!

As soon as I heard they were casting Paul, I thought how good it would be if he and Rosie got together!! Imagin Sally's reaction!!

I really can't see Liam Connor inviting Michelle and Steve (and more importantly Ryan and Amy) to move into his bachelor pad.

Plus, why would Steve need to be a lodger in someone elses house? If he wanted to live with Michelle, I'm sure they could afford their own place?

I just think its a waste not to fill a vacant house with a new family/some new characters.

After all, how often does a house in your street become vacant and becomes inhabited by somebody who already lived on the street anyway?

Paul Clayton is the son of Terry Duckworth, who had an affair with the mother Andrea when her family lived on the Street for a short period in 1985.

He last appeared in 2000, when Vera gave a kidney to save his life (the 40th birthday live episode storyline).

I'm trying to remember back and I think that used to be Curly's house. If it was then it was a sort of student house, before Curly bought it, owned by Rita but occupied by Curly and a girl designer student who eventually left then came back and joined up with Mike Baldwin to make her designs at Underworld. I think Mike somehow squeezed her out. I have a dreadful memory for names, somebody must remember what her name was.

I thought Danny Baldwin was coming back ? What happened to his luxury flat ? I wonder if that was sold, and he might come back and have nowhere to live ?

Angie Freeman. She was a great character!

That's her ... Angie Freeman! I think the actress was in Corrie before she was Angie, she had a short part as a battered mum with a young son, she was a cleaner at the Rovers.

No, Deborah McAndrew played Angie and a much older woman called Sally Watts

I think it was good when it was a student house with Angie and Jenny...and before Angie Jenny lived with Flick Khan whose younger sister Joanne ran away with Steve McDonald for a time.

I think it would be great if the Hewitts (who lived there before it collapsed in 1964 returned. Christopher (now 42) could move back in with wife and kids and Doreen Keogh could return as Concepta - Doreen is fab in the Royle Family as Mary from next door

Wow that could be great! I have to say, I think its great when we're reminded of past storylines (eg the revelation Mike Baldwin fathered Adam, the return of Ernest Bishop's killer, the return of Ray Langton, the return of Denise Osbourne). It reminds you how long Corrie has been on!

I couldn't see Doreen Keogh joining full-time, but regular cameos would be great. Would anyone (bar Ken) remember her though??

Emily and Concepta were good friends. Other than those two, I don't think so.
