Could this have been written by a Lee fan putting a negative spin on his competiton?

I wonder what the concerns excactly are? although it is a kinda negative its actually positive for Daniel i believe, cos he keeps getting through so people people dont think he is that forgetable and that ALW must see some potiential in him, if he is worried the audience is not seeing it.

My only concern is we are not seeing enough acting classes, so we are not actually seeing the all roundness that the lads have.

Who says that Lewis is the ladies' favourite? That's the first time I've heard that.

this is all ALWs words. but i also thought that. I think someone should point Andrew this way, he will understand who is the ladies favourite

I find some of his comments a little strange. If Daniel might be considered 'forgettable' then why has he never been bottom two? Unless he is preparing for this week's result. Maybe if he gave him better songchoices then he would stand a fairer chance.His comments about Lewis and his Nan are also quite strange. Hope he gets a better song selection this week too. Looks like Lee is his Chosen One with these comments.

I read it as another 'I love Keith' article actually. Bit miffed for you Dan fans though - saying Daniel may be forgettable, the day before the show, in a national newspaper, is a bit much. Either that or they want more from him and they're goading him in to action? . They did it to Craig. He was told he had the stage presence of a 'sack of spuds' the same night Lee's 'rubbish' comment was made. They've knocked him down to the very depths - and he came back fighting. Dan will do it too if he gets a decent song as you say.

I'm surprised he didn't include Denise VO as someone who could open a West End Show.

If Connie, John B, Michael Ball and Elaine Paige are the only ones then some fresh new blood is desperately needed.

He needs to get a decent song though. He has constantly been given bad songchoices in my opinion though he has done the best he could with them.Maybe if they finally give him a ballad to sing then people will see what he is really capable of but I dont hold out much hope at the moment of ALW suddenly deciding to start giving him better songs to sing.

To be fair to ALW, the 'ladies man' and comment about Daniel are not in quotes, so they may say more about the Sun journalist's views than his. It's frustrating though - I do have a very bad feeling for Daniel if he gets in the last two. Give him a decent song!! Give them all decent songs. Make it a bit fairer! I'm sure there were more songs from musicals in 'Maria'.

Well he ain't mine, that's for sure! Lee is drop dead gorgeous.

Both Daniel and Lewis to some extent have been constantly given bad songchoices. Lewis has only ever sung one ballad whilst Daniel has never sung one yet unless you count 'You Give Me Something' which he sang the first week and isnt really classified as a ballad anyway.

Hmm, again, not much enthusiasm for either Lee or Daniel from the Lord. I honesty can't decide whether he just isn't that enamoured with them or that Lee has been the inevitable winner right from the start and Andrew is just trying to play him down at the moment.

Thankfully, (cause I can't bear Tesco-value Joseph) I didn't take it as a Keith love-in. Andrew is waffling about the big leap he still has to make. He kept using that phrase in reference to Siobhan last year, and as it happened, she never made it.

I still think that Andrew sees Lewis as a very strong candidate. And though he is correct to suggest that his Mother is a liability and hindered him last week, even if I never clap eyes on her or Nana Jean ever again, I'm still not voting for the pretty boy. I, in my delusional state, consider myself a lady and I wouldn't give him the time of day. Why would I even look in Lewis's direction when I could have Lee or Daniel?

I dunno, I think it was a bit. For some reason i'm getting real deja vu here. To me it seems that Lee is ALW's real favourite, like Connie was. But he makes sure not to praise him too much, (same as Connie), make sure he has a 'bad week' in the middle so he isn't too perfect (Connie again had this).

Keith is now being used in the same way as Siobhan was, heavy praise, convienently forgetting flaws, favouritsm (I wouldn't be suprised if Keith was given another chance to sing next week). But by the final I expect the judges will turn on Keith as they did with Siobhan, saying 'he isn't ready'.

Unfortunately I think this will mean that Daniel will be the Aoife of the series Which leaves either Craig or Ben as the Helena-type underdog.

I do agree with you, I find it annoying that the general public are not being allowed the final they desire, I think that most people would love to see a Daniel/Lee final, hopefully with the Lee the eventual winner.

Excellent analysis and exactly how I am starting to see the way this competition will be played out. I only hope that Daniel gets to sing the sort of songs that I have heard on his MySpace site. ALW really hasnt done him any favours with the songchoices so far.

I don't have any doubt whatsoever that it is Lee who ALW will be hoping to see as Joseph. Since he has not rung me to give me the news I am being a tad arrogant in saying that but I bet I'm right.

To blame the fact that Lewis came in the bottom two last week partly on his mum is a bit daftl. Agreed, she and his nan don't do him any favours but I think the gbp can see that his performances have not really been up-to-scratch.

Also, everything printed in the papers is usually given as a 'press release' by the producers. By saying Lewis is the 'ladies favourite' is a bit of PR work. Maybe it is to try and deflect from the fact that he is being labelled 'a bit camp'. I am sure the programme makers read some of the forums and take note.

Maybe by ladies he meant girls? My 11 year old loves Lewis.

My almost 15 year old doesn't really get Lewis -but she loves Keith

Why does ALW say Daniel could be too forgettable? He has a great following and even those who don't always like his performances certainly seem to find a lot to comment on. The whole article is just PR manipulation.

Saying this I am pretty sure Lee is going to win but I am sure he will win without biased articles going into the papers. Give the viewers some credit !
