How do you switch off 1571 without having to deal with BT's delightful Customer Services. There must be some way from the keypad.

I turned it off from their website. It was not easy to find out how but it is there and it was effective.

I used to include text on how to turn BT's 1571 off online as part of a signature item I use on MSE but, because BT appear to continually alter their website, the links stopped working after a few days.

The best I can offer now is - log into your BT account and then follow links to Calling Features. You'll eventually reach a page on which you can untick a box and then save settings.
