Everyone sing along!

Come on. Ooh, yeah.
Never be the same again.

Neighbours cheers you up whenever things go wrong.
Its always there. It is a shoulder to cry on.
I can't believe it took them quite so long.
To take the forbidden step.
Is this something that Fremantle might regret?

(Come on, come on)
Nothing ventured nothing gained.
(You are the one)
A lonely BBC One slot that can't be tamed.
(Come on, come on)
I'm hoping that you feel the same.
This is something that I can't forget.

I thought that Neighbours and BBC were good friends.
Things will never be the same again.
It's just the beginning it's not the end.
Things will never be the same again.
It's not a secret anymore.
Now ITV have opened up the door.
Starting tonight and from now on.
We'll never, never be the same again.
Never be the same again.

Now I know that BBC and Neighbours were close before.
I wished BBC realised they needed you so much more. (money)
And I don't care what everyone will say.
It's about Neighbours and its home on the BBC.
And we'll never be the same again.

I thought that they would just be friends (oh yeah).
Things will never be the same again. (Never be the same again)
It's just the beginning it's not the end. (We've only just begun)
Things will never be the same again.
It's not a secret anymore.
Now ITV have opened up the door. (Opened up the door)
Starting tonight and from now on.
We'll never, never be the same again.
Never be the same again.

Nite and day.
Coffee shop to the Scarlett bar.
Ramsay Street, Erinsburgh High,
From Lou and Harold we say goodbye!
See it'll never be the same again.
What I'm sayin'
My mind frame never changed 'til you came rearranged.

But wait.
A fine line's between fate and destiny.
Do you believe in the things that were just meant to be?
When you tell me the stories of your quest for me.
Picturesque is the picture you paint effortlessly.

I thought that we would just be friends.
Things will never be the same again.
It's just the beginning it's not the end.
Things will never be the same again.
It's not a secret anymore.
Now ITV have opened up the door.
Starting tonight and from now on.
We'll never, never be the same again.

Neighbours will never be the same again.
Never be the same again.
Never be the same again.
Never be the same again.
Never be the same again.

Well I think I should certainly get a reduction. Apart from the Aprentice and Doctor Who, Neighbours is the only show I watch the BBC. Yes, a 33% reduction in my licence fee is in order I think!

I think there will be a few Neighbours fans petitioning for a licence fee cut.

Is no one going to mention my wonderful rendition of the Mel C classic?! That took me an entire 3 minutes to do that, it is my proudest work to-date!

Well obviously, since they wouldn't actually let you.

I can't actually think of any programme I'd pay £135 a year for really.
There's a lot of programmes I really like... but not that much!

It was tongue in cheek humour! I would have preferred it to stay with the Beep, but I'm not slitting my wrists over it!

Theres a lot of people that will miss out when it goes to five. We've got Sky so its not a problem in the living room, but every other telly in the house is plain old terestrial. Five in my room is mainly grey and cloudy! You're lucky if you can watch a whole show.
Wonder what the beeb will put on instead, you think the CBBC slot will just get a bit longer?

What is the tune? I tried singing it to the Neighbours theme tune, but it doesn't seem to fit.
