N95 broken after 6 weeks

I've just returned from the O2 shop where they've sent my N95 away to be fixed. I've had it 6 weeks and in the last couple of weeks it has developed a problem whereby anyone I call, or anyone that calls me, cannot hear me until I turn on the speakerphone and then return to handset mode. After I do this the call is fine and doesn't drop out again until the next call is made.

Anyone had a similar problem and if so was it resolved when they got it back?

Back to my trusty K750i for the next 10-14 days!!

Not a problem i've heard of but it does sound like a software problem if the microphone works when switching to speaker then back to handset?

Dad's got that problem, and it was sorted. But he's only had it back for 3 days. He got a Nokia 6230i to use while it was away.

Thanks for the replies - it's always good to know you're not the only one having a certain problem!!

Use PC suite to update the firmware if your operator has done it yet should solve any bugs

Mine's on T-Mobile and has never crashed or rebooted.

I'm on the 'V10.0.018' firmware.

This does seem to be a problem with the N95. I bought a N95 sim free. No one could hear me at all but i could hear them. I turned the phone off and back on and it was ok again. The next day it happend again so i sent it back.

I went onto an o2 contract and it has also happend with this phone. It is definatly a software bug of some kind. I love the phone but this is so annoying.
The phone does everything brilliantly except the purpose it was ment for.....Making telephone calls.
Nokia call it a computer but its still a mobile phone imo.

Yep, mine used to do that from time to time. about 1 in every 25 calls. it didnt bother me that much as i knew how to rectify it, ie switch it loudspeaker then back to headset - and anyway, i got a new phone now
