I was thinking of getting a Nokia 6510 phone which apparently has a "mono" FM radio (unlike the newer models such as the 6610 that are stereo), and I am a bit confused about the "mono" part.
Does it mean that even with stereo headphones (e.g. a dual headset with a 2.5mm or standard 'phones using a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter), the radio sound only actually comes through one ear ?
Or does "mono" just mean that the FM stereo signal is not supported, but you still get sound through both ears like you would with most radios ?
To elaborate - I had been thinking of getting a hard-drive MP3 player (without an FM radio), a Nokia 6510 phone (that contains the FM radio) and then rigging both up with the Skullcandy set.
I don't mind the fact that FM stereo is not supported on the phone, but what would bother me, is if the radio only comes through one ear.
I would appreciate any replies from anyone in the know !
