Maybe I wasn't clear enough. Usually, when contestants are in the bottom two their supporters vote in force the next week to make sure it doesn't happen again. This is what happened to Ben in the second week, he was shockingly bad and yet somehow he stayed out of the bottom two.
But in Lewis' case, it doesn't seem like he has that much support anymore, hence he ends up in the bottom two again. I am quite interested in what will happen next week. Lots of people are really peeved that Lewis was saved over Daniel - will this go against him in the voting next week? I just don't know.

Do get a grip.

The fact is that a contestant whose talent is conspicuous by its absence was put through for the lame reason that he was the younger.

What a shame that someone like Andrew Lloyd Webber himself has ruined his own so promising series. At this rate he will end up doing the same with his show.

First Seamus, now Daniel. It would be funny if it wasn't so embarrassing.

ALW did this last year in maria with helens, if he likes them, thats all he thinks about.

As far as this point is concerned, I have to agree with those who have mentioned the possible complacency of his supporters, particularly when there are a few pretty weak contestants still left in there who you would have to croak like a frog to sound worse than, and the possible effect of the judges' comments (particularly those of ALW), the VT, etc.

There was something reminiscent of the FA2 final about last night's show.

The difference is with Helena is that she generally did outsing her opponents in the singoff and often deserved to go through because she was more talented or the other Maria was Romanian or looked about 12 years old.

However Lewis clearly isn't more talented than Daniel, and although Joseph isn't perhaps Daniel's perfect role, he could play the part easily. I think because there was a lot of straight acting in Maria it was more important to find someon absoloutly right for the role.

Daniel is a good singer, and he should have stayed in, but his acting isn't good.

but neither is Lewis's to be fair. And I felt his acting was goof in the sing-off, Joseph is mainly singing after all.

Just because you say he doesn't have talent, and that I don't think much of him, it doesn't mean that we know better than ALW and an entire panel of experienced people when it comes to talent.

They see talent in him, so the only thing conspicuous is your arrogance.

But the whole point of musical theatre is to act through the songs

Well actually Zd Phoenix, there is overwhelming evidence to suggest that the panel felt ALW made the wrong decision last night as well as the many fans you find on these boards. Two of them said that Lewis was their pick to go, no-one said Daniel. This was ALW's bad, not the panels.

ALW may see something in Lewis but I don't think the panel agreed with his choice at all. Apparently JB even stormed off after the show.

Wow, that's great. Go JB, I love it when he throws a strop

ALW will do what he wants, he wants one of the young boys like lewis or keith, and its his show, so he will do what he want regardless of the panel. if the public don't vote, then the more talented ones like lee and daniel, as last night proved, will go.

Which two judges said Lewis to go? I remember Zoe did. I can't remember who else did.

Denise looked quite upset during Close Every Door, which surprised me a little, as she seemed quite enamoured with Lewis so I would have thought that she would have been glad that he's stayed. I love JB's strop. I remember last year when ALW chose Meliz over Belinda and JB told her that he had made the wrong choice.

I didn't say that the panel thought that he should stay, I said the panel thought that he had talent.

Plus, I don't doubt that there have been mistakes, but remember that we're talking about a man who really knows what he's talking about still. Maybe he made the wrong choice (despite thinking Lewis was better in the sign off and that Daniel's solo was weak, I still think that he's been much better overall), maybe he was right.

Either way, all of the fuss is ridiculous.

I do hope not, because I like John Barrowman a lot and hope he wouldn't act in such a way :/

Stormed off, or went quickly to catch up with Daniel to talk to him? I'd think it would be the latter.

Priceless

I have to agree with Nurse Betty. You do need to get a grip.

Lewis is the least talented contestant by a mile and was one of the least talented in the final 12.

The fact that he is still there is funnier than any joke I've heard in a long time.

John Barrowman and Zoe said Lewis should go. Actually, although John loves Ben and Keith (and Craig too) he's never really been that keen on Lewis. Next week should be interesting, hope we see footage of said strop

As someone who's seen Daniel on stage, I would beg to differ.

He was also one of only four who have ever acted out their performances. The others have all treated it and performed as if it was Pop Idol.

Well I wasn't actually there but the person who was said
'John Barrowman stormed out of the studio as the camera's went off'.

He did something similar when Belinda left in the Maria show too I believe.

Well in that case you can also take your conceited view and sod off. I mean seriously, 'get a grip'? how much more false superiority could anyone go with?

Hurr, you have a different opinion, get a grip! Tsk

Actually I can see where ALW is coming from. I think Daniel is fantastic but I have never seen him as a Joseph. In his very first critigue on him Ken said you are a professional and you will be asking yourself do I have the right look for Joseph but the people will tell you. Well looks like last night they did.

I hope his talents are used in abetter place like Les Mis and wish him every success in the world but sorry i agree with ALW

I get you twingle, I really do - But I think the thing that really annoyed me was that he dumped him for Lewis. Maybe you are a Lewis fan, but the kid does nothing for me, nothing at all.
