Are the public going to get it right this year?

Don't get me wrong because i thought they were all fanstastic tonight. But IMO i seriously can't imagine Craig,Ben or Lewis performing 6 shows a week for people paying top notch prices.

Lee i think could handle it and with the right training so could Keith.

Will the public get it right?

Well after tonight i dont know. But I will only see it now if Lee wins.

Keith has no volume or stage presence. Watching Keith is like watching an end-of-term drama group production.

Honestly, I don't think Craig or Ben have the personality or charm to lead the show.

Keith and Lewis are both too young to play the role - their performances lack maturity, IMO.

So unless Lee wins, I can't see the winner having the same success as Connie.

I think Lee will win easily, and ALW will hire Lewis as a stand in.

true. I think Ben is more likely to be a westend star than Keith, despite having a weaker voice.

IMO the right choice wasn't made last year. Aoife does a better job as Maria. But Connie certainly wasn't a wrong choice (if that makes sense)

Lee's just stale to me. I totally think he could handle being Joseph, but everything he does feels over-rehearsed and over done to me. I can imagine him getting public support and possibly winning, but I'd be disappointed.

Keith has been my favourite for weeks until this week, but he needs to bloody PERFORM. I'm really starting to think that he couldn't handle it at present

Ben, my new fave, definitely could imo. Like when they had to go to the Les Mis set, the performers said they thought he had the stamina, his performances of the last couple weeks have been perfect and his vocal has gone from one of the worst to one of the best.

I really don't think Lewis or Craig will win.

It's not entirely the fault of the public, cause ALW has A LOT to do with it as well, but two great performers in Seamus and Daniel are gone and we are still left with:

Tesco-value joseph who, although he has a good voice has all the stage presence of a gnat
A blonde Barbie doll who has yet to convince anyone that he has any talent at all (apart from *apparently* looking like David Beckham)
Cabaret Craig, who is a sweetheart but just clearly can't cut it yet.
And Ben, who I like, but has yet to demonstrate that he can stay in tune for a whole song

So no, I'd say them (and Andrew) are making a total hash of it.

We also have Lee, who is the class of the field and was from day one. If they choose him they can redeem themselves, but I am sure of nothing anymore.

Zd Phoenix, Just trying to be witty but from what I've seen of your posts tonight, doesn't look like we agree about anything much.
Except maybe that Ben is a rather good performer.

ok, I thought you were being rather nasty to a poor lad about happening to work in Tescos, but fair enough I see your intent now

Will the public get it right??? Lets examine the evidence....

SCOOCH for Eurovision

PETE DOCHERTY winning sexiest male at some music thing

BILLIE PIPER best "Actress" at NTA

The overwhelming evidence points at NO

Also every other reality show ever the winner has never been the best person. People who vote in this type of show generally vote for the underdog.

I like Billy Piper.

Turns out all of those things are opinion, so whereas it might be a no for you, it doesn't mean that it will be a no for most. And if it isn't a no for most then I would suggest that it is ultimately right.

No we're not, I'm watching the one where opinions are involved

I think his performances are technically vry good, but lacking in soul. I see it as typical stage acting, skillful, adept...but not leading man charisma. I just saw a video of him on YouTube, and the way he thrusts his hand into the air and looks up in his dramatic way...it just screams cliched to me. It says, over-cooked.

I agree with you. Lee overacts all the time. He appears so desperate to win. Still I am sure the desperation will end now that Daniel has gone. He is on the home straight now - all competition eliminated. LEE MEAD WILL BE JOSEPH! The Lord has decreed it so

If Lewis has a shred of decency and a morsel of a sense of justice, he will walk out of the competition tomorrow after a having a chance to sleep on it tonight.

It will take someone with the front of Blackpool to perform next week, even to his usual shocking standard, after tonight's decision by the Lady.

The ony thing more irritating than the decision was the reaction by Lewis' mum (Aranka by name and by nature) and his Scary Spice gran and their chavscum celebration. Classy!!!

Well, I'm not complaining! Incidentally I thought it was very strange saving Lewis tonight and letting Daniel go. Big error - or sneaky tactical move?

I just want Keith to go home next, he irritates me so much.

Agreed - one shouldn't confuse "the public" with the kind of people who vote in TV competitions (I never have and never will!) - I think they're all tweaked anyway - producers like ALW will always get what they want in the end, because they've got too much money riding on it, stands to reason. (And what ALW wants this time is Lee - the others may as well go home now imho!).

Yes Keith is becoming very annoying for me also. I do not enjoy listening to him sing. His singing voice is not very clear. I find it hard to understand him when he sings.

you are entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine - I never watched the Maria shows and missed the start of the Joseph shows - a mate made me watch it - I protested and then Lee came on and sang 'bad day' a song I hate - he pulled me in and since then I have been ridiculously addicted to this show spending far too much time on here and watching it - it may be staged - it may be acting - but isn't that what West end shows are all about? Either way it dragged me in and I would pay to see him in the role - I think that says it all.
