While shocked by last night, I'm not that upset about it. At the end of the day, Lewis needed the show more than Daniel. Daniel has managed to get work solely off his own back. With the help of this show, he stands an even better chance of getting work. I would be extremely surprised, if someone else did not offer him a role.”

Lets face it - everyone will know his name now - and it will probably be enough of a pull to get punters into seats for musicals, knowing that he will be starring.

I can see the posters now 'Make some noise for Daniel Boys'. Poor chap is going to have that stuck with him, but it's memorable!!!

He wasn't THAT popular, he'll still need to work really hard, but I don't doubt he's got it in him to make something good of himself.

I wasn't necessarily talking about him 'headlining' but that when you see his name as one of the cast - you'll know who he is ... and that will make you decide whether you do or don't (if you're not a fan) go and see that show.

Prior to ADWD you could have seen his name on a cast list and not known who he was ...

I have to say i partly agree, i certainly didnt worry for one minute that Daniel would be in the bottom, i assumed his fans would keep him in.

im hoping that his exit lastnight has panicked Lee fans though, now they know even the best are safe, hopefully they will not get complacent and will continue to still vote for lee.

What I meant was that whereas a couple of fans are going to know his name, it's really not going to make an impact. He's just another reality show contestant - it's helpful that he's got exposure, but not that helpful.

The ony thing more irritating than the decision was the reaction by Lewis' mum (Aranka by name and by nature) and his Scary Spice gran and their chavscum celebration. Classy!!!”

I think you're being way too harsh here - and this is coming from a Daniel fan! Lewis has now been put into a really horrible situation, through no fault of his own. He can't be blamed for ALW's decision.

As for whether the public will get it right this year... Well, they got it spectacularly wrong last night. And I thought the whole point of the sing-off was to let the expert save the best, not make the situation worse. I honestly believe both the public and ALW got it wrong. I've lost a lot of faith in him now.

I think one of the main problems with regard to Daniel, or whoever is eliminated, is that posters on here think that their opinions and support for the various contestants accurately reflect who the Great British Public also support.

This isn't necessarily the case, as the voting seems to show in particular this week.

Agree - Lewis did nothing wrong ... he sang very well in the sing-off ... unfortunately the better man was sent home.

Yes, the public are partly to blame for not voting ... ALW is also guilty for not saving the best on the night.

HOWEVER, he sees Lewis as more fitting his 'type' of Joseph than Daniel - nothing that we can do about that.

I am sure Daniel will continue to have a very successful muscial theatre career - but more people know who he is now - it's all good, from a bad situation.
