Really wanted to get into the tv and give Daniel a great big hug at the end of the show on Saturday.

He looked so gutted, didn't he? We have now heard from him though, and he says he is fine - very calm and positive.

I think you are right - he will be fine, but Saturday's sing off was a pretty terrible experience! (Or at least the result ws - the singing was fantastic!)

Dan was the man from the very first glimpse of him! And his voice is simply beautiful. I have every sympathy with wee Lewis..it wasn't his fault he became a pawn in ALW's machinations to smooth the way for Lee. ALW's comments on tonight's show further confirm his favouritism for Lee, plus the fact he got the best song yet again. That said it was gratifying to see ALW admit even his daughter was sick at him so unfairly slating Daniel and him then saying he does recognise Dan does have star quality!!

Daniel, it must be rare for any performer to so quickly atract such a vast and adoring fan base, but that just goes to prove you are DELICIOUSLY good!! So hug you I do and am begging you to get a West End show soon so we can come and express our pleasure from your ultratalented, lovely self!!! You should have been Joseph, that last performance was mind-blowingly superb.

I missed ADWD with Daniel leaving - thankfully. I would have kicked my TV through the window!

Wasn't it just!!! I Think he was missed by everyone including the panel. The group numbers sounded weak without his voice to add richness. With the exception of Lee I was watching the performances and was seriously underwhelmed tonight.

Don't worry Daniel - you will be a star. Tonights show confirms this !!

Have to agree with you about feeling underwhelmed. I watched the show and thought, "meh". And i must admit to having a chuckle when ALW said his own daughter dissed him

Wasn't that great?! I suppose it was too much of him to offer an apology but at least he seemed fairly contrite. I am pleased Zoe and JohnB expressed their displeasure at seeing Daniel dumped last week.

Yup, the group quality has certainly dipped since Daniel went. Seeing Josh whatshisname's reactions to their singing indicated just how pretty threadbare the vocals are without Dan's transcendant voice. Daniel would have complimented Josh better, I think, than Lee. Keith seemed barely capable of concealing his indignation at being shoved into supporting role....it was a nasty thing to do but again I suspect they guesed Josh would really have no choice but Lee...only Keith could have come close. Can you imagine Ben or Lewis struggling with it? Craig...well, in his own way he might have risen to it but only the absent candidate TRULY was fitted for it...our Daniel.

Yeah, I was glad he picked Lee, put couldn't help thinking how much better Daniel would have been.

I haven't seen the second show. I have it on tape but I am intrigued!!

Daniel would have been chuffed to bits to sing with Josh, and i'm sure Josh would have picked Daniel. Such a damn shame that he went too early

I went to see Cabaret yesterday and thought to myself that Daniel would be great as Cliff in that show. We saw the understudy (Tam something) and he was good with a nice voice. However, Daniel could bring something to the role. Perhaps that was one of the castings.

Craig did not do justice to "Close Every Door". Last night ALW made the right decision, it was Craig's second (or third) time in the bottom two. I can still hear Daniel singing "Close Every Door" and it certainly had all the emotion that ALW was looking for. Craig simply was not up to par. Ben's rendition of "Crying" was appalling and flat. I thought, if only they had given that song to Daniel there would not have been a dry eye in the house. Lee and Daniel balanced each other perfectly. There is no competition without Daniel. Bring back Daniel, to at least give a balance to the competition. Ben and Keith are not hacking it and Lewis could win as I think he has the look that ALW is looking for.
