Phoning in with votes for your favourite - did you have problems?

Whoever you voted for last night (or any previous week) -

what sort of problems did you perhaps have when phoning in to vote? not just the engaged tone

For example -

1) Phone cutting out abruptly, "hi, this is ......" then dead line before message of thanks received

2) "Please hang up" being experienced numerous times

3) Getting wrong name when you'd dialled correctly

I phoned in five times. Three of the five I got through fine. The other two times, the line was engaged.

Nol probs at my end except the line was busy which made me happy

Had no probs at all but apparently Dan's fans had difficulty getting through. Rather odd considering he had the least votes...something not right me thinks

may I politely ask who you did vote for? Any other week when your favourite came in the bottom two - and you had problems phoning in?

- as I've said elsewhere I'll shut up if there is no point to prove here

- but something seems odd. I've not had problems phoning in to vote for Daniel before (apart from engaged tone sometimes) - but I did have last night and it's bugging me. If not that many people were voting - why was it so difficult to get through

I have heard from quite a number who tried to vote for Chris B and found they couldnt get through....but he was supposed to have polled lowest votes on two occassions ( weeks one and three ) ...... and yet , in week two, votes wise , he didnt even do badly enough to get in the bottom four

The voting system is not subject to independant adjudication on this show....and the Beeb will not reveal the voting data for scrutiny ...... but of course we all trust the BBC don't we ??????

Now then , where's me Blue Peter badge ?

I thought his performance was brilliant -

- just wondering how difficult it was to vote for him?

Hi Alice,

I've mentioned before on Daniel's thread that I had problems getting through last night and even got Lewis's name once! BUt it is very interesting to hear other people's views!

i'm with you on this one!

It's funny how we always have to go through the 'conspiracy' theory every time someone's favourite gets eliminated.

I voted for Keith and also Craig last night. I had great difficulty getting through for both of them. I just waited a half hour or so, and then found I could place my votes. Even a contestant with the lowest votes will have many thousands of callers on the line voting for them. There's no conspiracy, it's just that a few thousand more votes were placed for the each of the others than were placed for Daniel.

Thanks Jemstar - it's interesting to hear what other people experienced when voting by telephone

-especially with regard to the two with the lowest votes not only this week but each week - how easy was it to get through?

I could quite easily accept that - engaged signal I am used to. But being cut off and listening to "please hang up" was a new experience last night when voting for Daniel

I voted for Lee, Ben and Craig, and had no problems. Then again, I was only voting once for each.

I have submitted to the BBC, on their website an official complaint. Wonder what their response will be!

Good idea - I'll do the same ( hadn't thought of that) Was trying to see if there was a pattern emerging....

If any, the response will be everything was fine as far as BBC were concerned..

It just seems strange, why such as Melinda Doolittle with "American Idol" has lead all the way, on Friday night she was so much better than anyone and she came Bottom?

It's not a mater of favourites being kicked off, something is not right with the system I voted for BEN but got cut off for DANIEL - No One can tell me on his performance last night that DANIEL was the worst and how ALW came to that conclusion with sing off I can't work out, wonder if Craig has been in the bottom two how it would have gone? - I can't stand the over emphasis Lewis put with his mouth, he does not look comfortable.

I couldn't get though to vote for Craig until 9.52 !
I was trying every four to five minutes.

"We are unable to connect you at this present time. Please try again later..." this woman kept saying.

My phone line is via cable if that bears any relevance.

I had a few problems, got a recorded message once saying that I was not allowed to vote from my provider .... then it was always engaged.

Finally got one vote in just before the lines closed.

Guess we will never know.

Call 08700100222 to lodge complaints!!! Something dodgy went on and they know it!!!!!

I've also now sent an official complaint from the BBC website

http://www.bbc.co.uk/complaints/make...nt_step1.shtml

probably get no joy - but may as well make them twitchy if enough people do it.

Why on earth are they not willing to publish and verify the votes? Why do we accept that?

I wonder why these programmes wont give a breakdown of the votes ! , it would be far more revealing to know if there were thousands of votes or only a few that separated the bottom 2
A breakdown of the votes each Joseph gets should be on the BBC website. with all the vote rigging thats been going on recently you would think the BBC would be glad to do this, show people everthing is fair and above board and they ve got nothing to hide
