If you read the posts above, you'll see we've been discussing tactical decisions on ALW's part rather than phone rigging.

And that's out of order...how?

He's meant to make the decision, he's meant to go for who he likes for any reason.

So again, what conspiracy (a conspiracy needs more than one person btw)

It's not necessarily out of order, but he obviously has more on his mind when he's deciding than who is the best, hence some of the best contestants going out to much weaker ones.

It's your opinion that those contestants are best, but it doesn't mean that Andrew thinks that.

Presonally I'm floored that Craig is still there, but I'm not assuming that Andrews doing something weird or tactical. It's not outside the realms of possiblity, but I have no reason to assume that he means anything other than what he says.

He didn't see Daniel as being stronger for the role of Joseph.

It's certainly not a conspiracy.

I said on another thread that ALW, when given any choice, is eliminating the musical theatre voices (Seamus, Chris B, Daniel) in favour of the lighter, poppy voices (Lewis, Craig, ben) - we know that he would, ideally, prefer a young, poppy Joseph, as he has said this. I don't think he's plotting to get a specific person, so much as a type.

Daniel's got a career in childrens TV presenting sewn up I reckon.

That's why I think he'd be good playing the Narrator - as he has to tell the story to the children.

Somehow though, I don't think that dream will come true (sorry for the horrid pun )

He is indeed. His problem is that Lee is just too good and the young poppy Josephs, while they are catching up fast, are not quite good enough.

It's only a conspiracy I so much that ALW probably has his own pecking order. When the bottom two are up for his decision, he merely saves the one who is highest in his pecking order.

The final performances are irrelevant but it does give the performers a last chance to showcase themselves and demonstrate good grace and manners ( Please note Seamus fans)

aww I loved Seamus's outrageous behaviour !

I don't think it's just ALW decision, I reckon all of the judges have a meeting to discuss who's who and what's what. Then ALW has a hit list...... if your on it and in the bottom two....... Get your Coat off... your out !

Conspiracy? I don't think so. ALW has this safety net to make sure he still has some control over the decision, it's his showm he is entitled to run it the way he wants to. Yes, Daniel could have been a threat to who he wants, and he doesn't want Daniel. Lee? I am not so sure, wait and see.

I'm not saying Lewis isn't talented, I think he will make a great leading man one day. However, there is no doubt that the sing off showed how much more mature Daniel's voice was. I just don't think Lewis is ready right now to take on the pressures of having to carry the success of an entire west end show.

However, ALW voting off one of the clear favourites at this stage seems like a tactical move to me.”

Actually, your wrong. Lee's not got the best chance of winning at all. ALW wants a young jospeh, thats why he got rid of seamus and daniel, and lees not really young enough for ALW's liking. Lee is the most talented, but, i worry that one of the young boys like lewis or keith will win. If they do, they will not be good enough or ready to play a lead role, so it will bite ALW on the bum in the end. seamus was right about it being a conspiracy in the sense that ALW wants young, regardless of talent.

I guess maybe ALW sees something in Lewis that he thinks could be special. I don't think daniels acting was strong enough for a lead role, but, it was unfair to choose lewis over him as he was better in the sing off and his performance.

Well I think he was much worse in the sing off. It's a matter of opinion, 'fair' doesn't enter into it.

If Ben goes next week I will switch my vote to Craig. In my mind Ben and to a lesser extent Keith have proven themselves to be the only credible competition to Lee left. If ALW kicks one of them out over Lewis/Craig I'll want Craig to win, for very bloody minded reasons. It'll prove ALW is working to his own spec and ignoring the talent and Craig being Joesph might actually have an impact. He's a likeable bloke, but I think he'd make the worst Joesph and that would really piss off ALW - his reputation would take a serious dent if ultimatly the show wasn't up to scratch.
Lee's so brilliant I'm sure he will be snapped up elsewhere.

I think it does because technically daniel was the stronger in the sing off - ALW didn't see daniel as joseph though. and it was the public not voting that put daniel into the bottom 2 in the first place.

Don't worry, I for one will start taking this voting thing seriously. Surely even ALW wouldn't get rid of Lee against anyone else though...

You might think that, but seriously, I'm not sure of anything anymore. If by some extraordinary chance Lee and Lewis ended up in the singoff next week, it really wouldn't surprise me if he chose Lewis.
