Acting ability, dancing, stage presence, stamina and charisma - this combination will probably swing it for the ultimate winner - along with 'a voice' not necessarily 'the best voice'!”

Yes they could- it's the acting/stage prescence I'm worried about with Craig. It is a high standard though. None of them should listen to the carping which is happening on here re one or the other. They have all done themselves proud. I think that needs to be said.

I agree. I think this is why I would rather Ben won than say Keith, because although Keith has a wonderful voice Ben has the charisma and the ability to hold a westend stage imo.

This 'bad attitude' has made an 18 year old boy, who week after week is told he's not up to scratch by the judges, listens to his fellow Joesph's tell him he can't do it and has faced 2 sing offs, bounce back from being the rank outsider to second favourite. No one else has shown much belief in this kid, his confidence has had to come from himself. And he has totally turned it round. He shines in the mid week tasks, his performances are brilliant, he's got the most stage presence and on Sat's group performance his charisma made him stand out against my personal favourite Lee. Even Lee crumbleed a bit after he got some bad comments, but Ben has taken it all on the chin. He doesn't whine or moan about being ill or bad weeks, he just gets on with it. He's shown real strength of character, resilience and self belief - all qualities which are vital in leading men and he's had to do that with people constantly trying to undermine him. It annoys me no end (no offence Cleo1) when people refer to a moment when he was sticking to his guns and showing faith in himself (and lets not forget the panel backed him up that week) as 'bad attitude'. I only wish my attitude was that bad.

If ALW does knock out Lee for age, then for me Ben is the only other leading man in the contest and he's worked damn hard to prove it. He's got a right to be confident without people constantly trying to make him play the victim.

(Phew deep breath... time for a cup of tea me thinks)”

Here sit down and let me make you one - milk sugar?

Fantastic post and I agree with every word you have said . I have championed him since the sing off with Seamus (even created a thread which no one responded to for days) and he has grown ever since. Oh and by the way he had tonsillitis this week and only rehearsed half as much as the other guys

You might be right but I think this week will be make or break him as I think that is what they are going to give him.

I still shudder at the dire vocals *on all by myself* but wonder if he sang it now with confidence would he sing better. The last 2 weeks he has had no tuning problems

It certainly does need to be said! They are all different, have strengths and weaknesses, but they are all GOOD and they should be very proud of what they've achieved.

It is fascinating with the voting clearly changing week by week. I just dont know what will happen next.
Wonder if its that despite trouncing Grease in the ratings the viewers are just not voters. So its much more open.

One thing that Daniel's untimely exit has done is make it quite clear to me at least that I have no idea what is going on here. I won't even be sure that Lee is safe until I am told. It does make it interesting. It also makes me still have hope for Lewis if he turns in a storming performance. Nobody is a safe bet and nobody should be written off.

If I was going to HAVE to put my opinion on the line and predict a winner I would still go with Lee. If I was going to rule one person out it would probably be Craig.

The GBP may get it wrong. But from what I've seen from these kind of reality TV shows, it is usually the best people (regardless of who actually wins) that end up doing the best out of the shows. In the end, people tend to get as much as they deserve.

I'm not surprised by Daniel's exit. It happens in every reality show, that a talented person goes before their time. Just like there's always at least one person that stays in the competition longer than expected.

This is very true - Will Young was the exception as he has gone on to do well ... but when you look at other reality type shows ... take David Gest for instance (!) ... they really make a name for themselves despite not winning.

Just seen Daniel on Breakfast News - he already has some things lined up ... good for him. Just because he's not ALWs leading man, doesn't mean he isn't right for someone else.

Andrew is going to live with this for a long time! okay many will say he is not bothered, but he was wrong on Saturday night with his comments! they where not called for.

I also believe DANIEL will go onto Bigger Things in the WEST END - I still think AWL will claim so credit if he does?

That's true. If I felt everyone left in the competition was good enough to play the part, I wouldn't have too much of a problem who won - it's just there's still a risk of someone ending up with a part they're just not up to. It's a bit different if someone gets their amazing record deal but fails to sell. There's just more riding on this.

Interesting Daniel still thinks Lee will win and seems happy about that.

Ultimately it is about getting the right person for the job - I hope Lee does succeed - I still think he's the only one left now who could do the job well.

Lee's certainly the only one left I'm confident would do a first-class job. I think Lewis would probably do well too, but I just have a few niggles about whether he's really ready for this yet.

It shouldn't make you cross - if you're really a fan of Daniel, won't you just be pleased if his career takes off? Let's face it, Joseph isn't exactly the best show in the world. I really want Lee to win, but only as a stepping stone to something better.

I agree with that but the problems is there's nothing new coming out, musical wise. They're just continuations of shows that are 20 years old plus. Musical theatre needs a real shot in the ass to get going and create some great new shows.........there's only so many times we're all going to queue for revivals. I do think that Broadway tends to be a bit riskier with musicals, even if they are being pinched from books or Disney cartoons.... (who ever thought up Jekyll and Hyde or Titanic as a musical )

Those are the two things that are keeping me watching!
