I can't believe Daniel went last night - I thought he was gonna win it!

I'm really surprised as well. Although I didnt see him as Joseph I thought he would get down to the last four.

The trio of Lee, Daniel and Craig completely wiped the floor when they performed together.

Yes, I know, it's a fricking travesty and the lord should be ashamed. If the rest of us are anything to go by, you have some grieving to do, and DS will help you, I point you towards the DB appreciation thread and the group hug for Daniel Boys thread.

I am absolutely devastated - I wouldn't mind so much if I could just understand why.....I guess ALW knows what he wants, but it's beyond my comprehension. (Then again, many things are, I suppose.)

Not denying any of that, and actually, until yesterday I thought very highly of him - but, IMO he made an idiotic decision last night.

No one's denying or questioning his talent or track record.

That doesn't excuse the bloody mindedness of last night's decision, the harshness of the on-screen criticism after his decision or the idiocy of the reason given after the show for his decision. I'm convinced that something that happened behind the scenes during this past week played a part in it.

Maybe, despite the fact that Daniel was more talented than Lewis, he felt that Lewis was better suited for the part. People are looking for deeper reasons and I'm not sure they exist.

ALW wrote the sodding musical, presumably has seen it played out on stages worldwide so I'd make a wild guess that he has an idea about who will best fulfil the role and that's not Daniel in his opinion, nor it would seem the GBPs

No - he just knows what he is looking for. and why watch a show based aroung an idiot? if thats what you think, why bother watching it in the first place.

Daniel had a stronger voice than lewis, but when you say mor talented, that is relative to what talent you asre talking about. for example, lewis is far more talented dance wise.

I hope he (Daniel) has a great recording career. He deserves to. I think he was the best singer in the show. The best singer doesn't necessarily mean the best Joseph though. Lewis might to ALW seem more of a Joseph in terms of the look and the "bums on seats" factor. Daniel and Lee have been my favourites. Lee makes me believe every single word he sings of every song. I'm not getting Lewis anymore. He was too young to sing a song like The Rose. That needs Janis Joplin style pain, a la Bette Midler in the movie. I think he'll be out next week. I don't see The Lord saving him 3 weeks running.

I think ALW will save him again.

If that was the case then ALW has just LOST one "bum on seat". Mine!!! Daniel was the BEST singer, BEST actor and I cetainly would have gone to see "Joseph" if he had won. But not now - none of the others interest me!

Where are you looking Cleo1 - show us ONE example of Daniel dancing badly, or one example of Lewis dancing well - I challenge you!

Even the panel have complained about Lewis moving badly, with his arms and legs bent like tarantula!

Is Daniel free to take up any offers right now or is there some kind of blocking contract like PI, X-Factor etc ?

I would have thought he was open to offers now. In this show they are looking for somebody to take on a specific role in a specific show. If they don't get that role, surely they can take any other offer. X Factor was about recording contracts and everyone had to sign with Sony BMG.
To be clear, Daniel would have put my bum on a seat and I hope he will in a concert hall really soon, but maybe ALW thinks that Lewis might have more a "Donovan"appeal. Although the voting public seem to disagree.
