Settings Advice
PMonty

On saturday I bought a Sony KDL46W2000 and yesterday I finished installing all the cables etc.

But, to be honest, I'm a little unhappy with the picture as it's a bit grainy and gloomy images are too dark.

Before I start messing around with all the settings, I wondered if there was anyone here who has any advice on the best settings for the TV.

Thanks a million.

Monty.

For a start, set it to 'Standard' they come set to 'Vivid' for shop display purposes.

Thanks for that ..... I noticed that it was set to "vivid" but didn't know what it meant.

Cheers!

Forgot to mention - you need to set it for each AV input seperately, and once for terrestrial (may be seperate analogue and DTT, but we don't get it here so I don't know?).

It's also a good idea to set the unused AV's to 'skip', it's on the AV menu, select 'edit labels'.
