My whole family and I all can not stand lewis and were completely outraged at ALW decision to save him on saturday-he is so pathetic, crying every other minute. Even my older brother who never watched ADWD before was screaming at the tv at ALW decision!!! grrrrrrrrr!!

You do have to feel a bit sorry for him though - he didn't have much public support before Sat. I think there really was no point in ALW saving him - he couldn't win a public vote now.

Bit harsh having this thread though ... and I'm a Daniel fan who thought he was robbed.

Lewis did really well in the sing-off - he just wasn't the best.

He should be long gone in the competition.

I have never been a great fan of Lewis. His voice is weak and acting skills not great. However, I was touched by the emotion he showed after the sing-off on Saturday, which didn't look just like relief because he had got through. I hope he goes on next week to show that ALW's decision twas not completely farcical. Most people will agree that Daniel was best on Saturday and we all hope Daniel has a marvellous career ahead of him, but I also hope that Lewis (who is very young) will learn and grow from this experience.

This thread's more than a bit harsh. I feel sorry for the backlash Lewis is getting aftr Sat's sing-off. It's not his fault ALW chose him over Daniel, and I think ALW knows what he's doing. He has made a career out of musicals after all.

I don't hate him, he seems a sweet guy and he does have talent but up against who's left and a few that have gone before him I just don't think he should be there. I also think they're trying to manipulate the audience a little as we've been shown quite a few videos of him as a kid also his gran etc. I don't think the others have had so much of that stuff but I might be wrong as I'm a more casual viewer.

I was suprised by the decision made to save him on saturday night - if you were going by voice alone Daniel out sung him by a mile but Daniel comes over as being too nice to play Joseph - I don't think Lewis has got a chance of winning it though

I think this thread is completely out of order and I speak as a die hard Daniel fan who did feel robbed by ALW's decision on saturday but that was hardly Lewis's fault.

Yeah I don't see any point in disliking him, it wasn't his decision.

I also think that this is an unpleasant thread to have started. Being spiteful because your favourite was eliminated in preference to Lewis is not a good attitude.

I'm neither a fan of Daniel or Lewis but I thought that ALW did make a fair decision on Saturday night in the circumstances. I have found Daniel's performances rather uninspiring personally. This week's 'Evergreen' effort wasn't great in my opinion.

No matter how the die hard Daniel may feel, there was never a chance the he was going to win the show, as ALW made clear in his after show comments. Lewis might, just might, have a small chance.

I still believe that the end result will be Lee though, and I'm not a fan of his either.

I do sympathise with Lewis. I think ALW knows exactly what he did knocking out Daniel, and part of that was sabotaging Lewis. That line about backing youth over talent was never going to win Lewis back any fans. I think even if he comes out and does brilliantly on Sat, he has to be the best and unquestionably the best if he's going to win round the public. And I just don't think he can. He doesn't have the appeal of Keith or Craig and can't match Lee or Ben for performance. I think he can expect to be in the final 2 from now on.

No need for this thread! lewis didn't put daniel in the bottom 2, the public did.

Here here, most uncalled for.

Daniel was one of my favorites but I'm not blaming Lewis for getting through instead of him. Lewis seems a lovely lad.

He looks perfect for the part but i dont think he is ready for the west end yet, just find him a bit bland.. ..

I don't think Lewis is ready for a lead role yet, but, maybe ALW sees something in him i have yet to see?

This thread is of course a bit mean, but maybe it's a good idea to put all the meanness in one thread and then other nicer people can ignore it!

My mean thing for Lewis is laughing out load again and again when the Josephs all sang the 'Song of the King' and Lewis had the line about the cows being all skinny and eating the other cows and still being skinny.

How appropriate I thought! And, ironically, What a cow I am, I also thought!

A bit more seriously though, Lewis seems to muck about too much and not take it seriously. I'm not saying he's immature because he is only 17, but he'd be a liability publicity-wise to ALW and not man enough to cope with being a leading man. Can you seriously imagine the rest of the cast having much respect for him?

If ALW seriously sees him as a contender, fairy nuff but I think he could have an embarrassing disaster on his hands that even Ricky Gervais would have to watch thru his fingers!

I don't really mind Lewis as a person it's just as a contender I think he should've gone weeks ago. He is the only contender that has not improved all that much since the first show. Also Lewis has absolutley no stage presence I like listening to him but don't like watching him he would bore me to tears if I had to watch him as Joseph.

Look, this thread is completely out of order and I'm not even a Lewis fan - although I was very impressed by his kind comment "Don't worry, Dan" before the sing-off. Start a thread for your favourites by all means but don't start hate threads.
I would love Lee to win, personally, but that doesn't mean I want to join in Lewis-bashing. If you want to bash anybody, bash silly Lloyd-Webber for sending a decent singer (Daniel) home.

agreed - Daniel should still be in - but Lewis was so upset and was really sweet to Daniel - I don't hate any of them - I just think Lee and Daniel are more accomplished than the others.
