http://www.dialaphone.co.uk/kelkoo/b...2ftb45ywkclmvv

£1.99 for 7 months then £30 thereafter for 5 more months as a 12 month contract,
am i right in thinking that thats all there is to pay,
i was thinking there wasnt until i saw this...

Your reduced line rental is available by redemption in 3 stages: £64.07 at month 6, £66.00 at month 9, £66.00 at month 12

A cynic's interpretation would be it means they've given themselves plenty of 'wriggle-room' so, although it looks like they will, they'll never have to pay any money back.

Could've swore I replied to this earlier, but me post seems to have gone missing.

This is what's known as a "Cashback" deal. The way is works is that you PAY THE FULL LINE RENTAL EVERY MONTH and return specific bills to the company every so often. They then send you a Cheque which is how they advertise the stupid-low Line rental deals.

You usually get a short window to return your bill and many companies put so many Terms & Conditions on the offer that it's very easy to miss out. Carphone Warehouse/e2save are usually OK but basically;

You pay the full line rental each month. Some people can't/don't want to stretch to the full £30-£40 each month - even if they might get a Cheque a few months down the line that kinda balances things out.

What sort of contract were you looking into? Minutes, Texts?

We're a friendly bunch, we might be able to point you somewhere better.

Ooo, shouldn't this be in the Mobile Phones forum, not Landline?

I was thinking the same, but it looks like TowersOfLondon accidentally double posted!

Not only would that be a cynical interpretation but also an incorrect one.. having been on a cashback deal with Dialaphone, I can confirm that I did indeed get my cash back, and it's really not that difficult to stick to their terms.
