I was at the Manchester gig on Monday, and Ian McCulloch was the epitome of average so we were all pretty surprised to say the least when Chris came on for their last song and sang along. Feeder didn't play either Just A Day or Buck Rogers. I'm not too bothered about Buck Rogers but I absolutely love Just A Day. Me and my friend shouted for Just A Day as well
![]() Coldplay did the exact same set, and I would say magic is a serious understatement. They just get better and better each time I see them and I can't wait for the next one already. I would go to V2003 but I'm on holiday in America which is a bit of a bummer but there's always next year. The atmosphere was not quite as good as I hoped though as the majority of people on the floor just stood still for the entire gig. I can't understand how, I was jumping all over the place

I think youre bang on there with what I felt about last night, dodgygeeza. Ian McCulloch was very average, the best response he got from the audience was when he played a cover of Take A Walk On the Wild Side. I think Feeder were there mostly to try and convert a few fans over and get them to buy their new album, because most of the songs they played were from Comfort In Sound. It seems strange they didnt go for Just A Day instead of Forget About Tomorrow which I think isnt as good as JAD. Your observations about the atmosphere at Manchester was exactly like Earls Court last night. I was in the seats (yuk!) and I stood up once they started Politik, but everyone else was sitting down, so I had to . It was only until Chris actually had to ASK the people in seats to stand up at the start of Yellow that everyone did. When I saw U2 at Earls Court, and when I saw Feeder at the Cambridge Corn Exchange, everyone stood up right from the start and partied on! I would have loved to be on the floor jumping around. Ive decided that I dont want to go to another gig and sit down again. Both Coldplay and Feeder were great though, both seem to be getting better and better when it comes to their live performances. Top night, apart from the boring people!!!! |

Dan I take it Poor Me is a new song, what did eveyone else think of it? Everytime I see Coldplay they seem to get louder and rockier (which isn't a bad thing). Having never been to Earl's Court before, I was impressed by the sound as well. Especially Feeder who sounded as clear as anything, but it was still Coldplay's night. The only down-point: Quote:
Chris Martin A couple of years!!We'll see you in a couple of years, unless you're coming tomorrow I can't wait that long for new material
