What is the most reliable network in the Livingston and Edinburgh area?

That depends 02, Orange and Vodafone all got 99% covarage in that area. T-Mobile and Virgin got 96/97% covarage in that area. Im not to sure about the 3 network though. I have never used Vodafone but I have never been a big fan of Vodafone and T-mobile is slowly starting to improve from the days when I used them on the old One2One.

Get an old unlocked PAYG mobile send off for all the free sim cards the major networks offer you and check out coverage that way.

I'm with Three and it's the only network I get an almost full signal in when I am in the centre or back of the local Asda. I was thinking about changing, but they offered me a great deal and new phone to stay. Where I visit around Edinburgh, Fife and the Lothians I have not been disappointed with their coverage. Others may differ on that opinion.

In my experience Orange and T-Mobile are most reliable....

It's just im with vodafone and they seem to be getting worse and the sound quality is really bad sometimes.

I used to be on T-Mobile and had no problems with sound but in some areas like my work you dont get a signal.

In parts of Dunfermline T-Mobile and Virgin have a weak signal and other parts of the town they get a good signal. 02 gets beween 3 and 5 bars for signal between Dunfermline and Edinburgh on my 02 mobile. In Dunfermline depends on where you are. You may get a weak signal from 02 for a short time. Like say if you are in some shops or the odd pub but Dunfermline mostly has a good 02 signal. Orange and Vodafone that im not a big fan of have a good signal in most parts of the Dunfermline area and Edinburgh.

So what are you basing your dislike of Vodafone on then if you have never used them?

I used to know 2 or 3 that had Vodafone and at times when you tried to phone them it would say sorry the number you are trying to call is not available please try again later. Also once in a while they used to get weak signal when most other networks had a good signal. Vodafone may have go better but in the old days I never even liked the look fot the tariffs.

That sounds more like a problem at your end....if it was their issue you would at least be prompted to leave a voicemail as there are diverts set up as standard.

Im 96% sure it was not a problem my end. Once in a while I got a prompt to why not just send them a text but most of the time it was as I posted above. The 2 or 3 I knew that had Vodafone only 1 of them had Voivemail set up on there Vodafone. Two of them have since changed networks to Orange and T-Mobile. Only one of them still use Vodafone. Others I know all use 02.
