Ok - people on here are getting quite scary about ALW just because he didn't save Daniel. saying things like he is a moron is just pathetic. If you don't like ALW then don't watch the show, don't go to see his musicals and don't read any interviews he gives - simple really.

1. it is only a tv programme!
2. ALW is the expert, if he wasn't and was just some Joe Bloggs of the street no one would watch the show in the first place, there would also be no Joseph musical!
3. some people may not agree with his decision, but, it was the public not voting that put daniel and lewis in the sing off in the first place.
4. There is no point getting agressive over a reality tv show - of course after every sing off some people are going to disagree with ALW's decission, because different people like different contestants best - for a lot of different reasons.
5. Can i say again, ITS ONLY A TV SHOW!

I've never seen such an outcry about a Joseph leaving the show before now, except maybe when Seamus left. Most people have agreed that the person who left, was the right one to go.

I object to ALW choosing to do over Daniel purely because (imo), i believe he wanted a way to get rid of him. I reckon Lewis will be bottom 2 yet again next week and will finally go, and i'm sure (again imo), that ALW knows this too.

He picked his winner long long ago and if Lee doesnt win this i'll eat my hat, and i dont eat hats !!! Then all his waffle about wanting a young fresh poppy Joseph will fly out of the window.

Daniel will be just fine, i have no doubt about that at all

I think you will find most Daniel fans have gotten over it and now see the blessing it really is. ALW didnt want him to be Joseph so why spend more weeks trying to impress him when nothing ever would as he has decided who he wants!

Is that why at one point today, you were named as the latest poster in at least ten threads at the same time - in most of them , trying to have the last word against pro-Daniel posters telling them in some cases to 'get a grip'?

I'm sure that in time, Daniel's fans will no longer post quite as much, but in the meantime I think they are as entitled as anyone to express an opinion on what they perceive to be an unfair decision.

Yes i defend Lee - i don't feel the need to react like some daniel fans saying things like ALW is a moron! someone also put that they are sending the tickets for the show they brought back - its just so silly. why buy tickets so early without knowing who has won, then kick off if who you like goes out, and calling ALW a moron is over the top. also, the contestants and the public should be well aware of what shows like this one are like - there are enough of them!

Cleo, just as you point out that it is ALW's show and he can do what he likes with it, posters on Digital Spy can do what they like with their lives. If they want to buy tickets and send them back, then they have every right to, it is no concern of yours.

I am not saying that they can't, just stating that in my opinion its silly to buy them so early in the first place if you feel so strongly about only wanting to see one contestant in the role. just like you have said many times in your opinion ALW should have kept daniel.

Cleo while i can see the point you are making, I dont think you are in any position to judge until YOUR favourite gets voted out over someone who clearly isnt as talented.

Imagine if next week its between Craig and Lee, craig does a bad performance, and as usual Lee is superb - yet ALW saves craig. Just think how you would feel.

Already has happened - Seamus was my fav, Lee was my second. Seamus went out becuase of his age when up against ben who i think is a lot less talented. It is the same situation now with Daniel, and i personally think daniel should have stayed, as i have said before i would have liked him and lee in the final, but, i just think its pointless to get too worked up over it. Things are never really overly fair in reality tv shows.

I think thats where we differ with you. We care passionately which is why we have reacted so strongly. You do see to have a very cool, calm collected manner about you, which is just great .

I wish i could just say "ah well, i'll just roll onto my 2nd fav" but for me there was only one Joseph and now he has gone, even Lee doesn't inspire me to pick up the phone and vote.

I'll carry on watching tho, although not with as much "enthusiasm" (you know, kittens ) as i had before, and will definately be watching the final, just for another glimpse of Daniel

I'm not sure what I would do if it would have been Lee and not Daniel - I always suspected that this was going to happen to one of them and that the first to end up in a sing-off would go. It always seems to happen in the reality format.

I probably would want Daniel to win tbh. I've always thought those two are leagues ahead of the others and that the training shines through.

I admire Craig's work ethic and he's come on leaps and bounds, Keith has a great voice, Ben loves performing and Lewis has great potential. But none of them can lead a company at this point in their careers. I couldn't summon up any great enthusiasm for them.

The show is poorer without Daniel, but I hope that rather than shouting "Vote Ben to get Lee out!" people would rather express the sentiment you are and say "My fave has sadly gone and I don't think I really can vote for someone else." As you are doing, I would continue to watch and possibly have voted for Daniel, but I wouldn't have been as enthusiatic about it. Ah well, never know, you might get the opportunity to find out how I would react soon enough.

No-one is getting agressive over a reality show that is your interpretation of what OPs are trying to say with regards ALW's appalling attitude and abuse of power. I fully respect ALW's talent and producing ability. He is an icon. That is why it was moronic of ALW to put down Daniel so badly in his post show comments. This was the first time Daniel was in the sing off and everyone seems to agree he was the better of the two singers. I can still hear him - the emotion he sang with was awesome.
Why didn't ALW hand Daniel some sort of lifeline? To say he couldn't see him holding an audience was horrible. Because he held the audience in my house. Many OPs don't agree with ALW decision to vote Daniel out of the show. It is our prerogative to say so. That is why the Digital Spy Forum exists. End of!!

I feel I have to respond as you've mentioned the "ALW is a moron" quote 3 times now and, um, I said something along those lines in another thread. When I posted that it was just after the results show, when I was feeling pretty emotional and upset over what'd happened. I suspect a lot of the blunter posts along those lines were made at roughly that time.

Maybe it is just a TV show, but it's one where I really care about the result, so if I see something happening that I think is unfair I'm entitled to post about it. And a lot of the outcry is because the decision was so clearly unfair - even people who didn't particularly like Daniel have said so!

Perhaps I should've waited until I calmed down and was able to post something a bit more coherent and eloquent, but that was my opinion at the time, and surely these forums are about expressing an opinion? And it must be more than just a TV show to you as well, otherwise why bother joining and posting on these forums?

Do I think ALW is an idiot? No, of course not, I just posted that in the heat of the moment. Am I highly disappointed he kicked off Daniel in favour of someone who clearly has much less ability? Yes. And I have lost a lot of faith in ALW as a result. If I'm going to be paying £50 a ticket to see a show, I think I deserve to see the best. And I honestly think that was Daniel.

Lady Webber wanted passion and emotion. Lewis showed about as much passion and emotion as a drunk caterpillar.

I know it's only a TV program but to the contestants it could be their whole chosen career at stake.

I know and I hate seeing them so upset at the end - but I do think that the exposure they have all received on this show (not to mention the amount of people who have spent their time posting on here about them) will help them move forward and will give them a lot more opportunities than performers who have not had that advantage - so every cloud has a silver lining.
