Wherever I go, whenever I talk to someone about the Apprentice, everyone says they KNOW who wins and it has always been the same person.

Now I am putting this persons names in Spoiler Tags below, if there is any chance it is true and you don't want to know, DON'T LOOK. (There, covered myself from abuse I hope)

Spoiler
Simon

But I've heard somewhere that the final hasn't been filmed or multiple results have been filmed and SAS hasn't decided yet.

Anyone know which, if any, is true?

Cheers

That spoiler tag is suspiciously short too.

Both endings have been finished so the 2 finalists have been recorded winning it. However, the decision on who actually wins is not made until June 12th (or v shortly before). Anyone that tells you otherwise is talking rubbish

Eating in a sandwich bar opposite Amstrad. How though does that fit with the other spoiler we've heard?
Spoiler
That whoever is offered the job turns it down

If it's not been decided yet and a double ending filmed, then I'm confused.

Not sure who is left that has a long name.

I wouldn't necessarily believe that spoiler - a lot of people on this forum write a lot of rubbish

I thought the format was two endings are filmed with each of the last two being told "You're Hired" by Sir Alan. They work for him for six months at GBP100,000 and a week before the last episode is shown he decides the winner. The winning candidate's film is then tagged on.

However, I saw a video interview with Tim Campbell who said he knew who won this year and it was the best person.

Why would you want to know who wins before it's announced?

It's called dramatic irony. Sophocles used it to great effect.

I thought that Sir Alan gave the finallists jobs so he could watch them work for a few weeks/months after the final task and then made his decision not long before the final is aired.
This would account for the sighting.

Because some people are impatient and hooked. I for one, am one of them.
Same reason people look at Spoilers etc.

Cool

No psyche degree needed for that explanation.

However don't you like to be surprised, kept in suspense, try to work stuff out or enjoy watching stuff unfold?

I just look at spoilers because I can't help myself. I want to keep the suspense and everything but when I see the word spoiler, I go to that link and then I struggle to resist the temptation of highlighting the Spoiler coverer

But I haven't highlighted anything in this thread so I've resisted temptation But I can guess who it is just looking at it and from what someone accidently revealed about the person earlier in this thread

In what way is the answer 'dramatic irony' not an answer to the question 'why would you want to know who wins before it's announced'? The Sophocles reference is there to highlight the point that this is a long standing human interest and since people don't change I fail to see why you find the whole issue so surprising.

He's already got the winner, as shown on the BBC2 programme afterwards, he wasn't going to spoil it for everyone.

But I understand what you mean in the question. From the begining he might have an idea who he wants to to be employed for him, and this is just to see who has got what it takes to be employed by his company.

You're a bright bloke Soph and you can turn out a play like I crap bullets, but where were you in this bleedin' task? I wanted you out on the street flogging coffee, not squatting in the corner writting about some beardy shortarse who ruins his business credibility then beats himself to death with the handset from an amstrad email phone. I want hard profit not first performance rights on "Alan Wrecks", you're a waste of my time, you're a waste of your time, Margaret's been spasming ever since the wind blew up your toga, in fact you're not fired and I've been waiting a long time to say this. Katie.....kill.

I didn't say it was surprising. I don't understand why you'd want to know who wins each weeks tasks or the whole thing and then watch it knowing the end result.

If you were going to miss part or all of the show that would make more sense.

Do you think most of the people who love spoilers would answer " because I'm mad for a bit of dramatic irony me"

Does that give it more of an edge to know?
Does it make it more exciting?
Does it give some sort of satisfaction?
Does it stop you getting tense with worry?

I know people are different but apart from the post from omgwtfbbq, I'm still little the wiser

Well I can't answer for everyone but in my case, I don't watch the show religiously so spoilers help fill in background I may miss. I don't get involved in it enough to get 'tense with worry' - it's just background telly as far as I'm concerned. And I was genuine about the dramatic irony. I like watching the candidates say 'I'm the best thing ever and I'm going to win' when I already know they get trashed. It's funny. If I had the option of finding out who wins each of the rest of the episodes now I'd take it (with the possible exception of the final). And if anyone can tell me in advance when Katie gets the push I'd like to know so I can make sure I don't miss it.

If it's only background telly to you then that explains a lot. Wish you'd said so in the first place.
