I've been with Homechoice since December 2000, hardly ever use the TV side of it but the internet as always been very reliable so I stuck with it. When the 8meg download came out I upgraded as soon as I could was getting 6 to 7.3mb downloads but over the last year went down to between 5 & 6.3mb which I was satisfied with. This year its gone pear shaped,started dropping the connection quite often, I phoned them up and they done a test on the box and said it should be ok now,asked if it would slow down my download speed they said it should speed up, but the speed went down to 4megs.
I left this for a couple of weeks as it was a stable connection then I made a big mistake and phoned them again and told them I was only getting 4meg they done another test and said my line cannot sustain an 8meg connection and put it down to 2meg .I was still getting 4megs but tonight its gone down to 1.9 so it looks like I'll be off to Sky,if I only get 2meg with them at least I will save £15.
