Hilarious news.......former TV chef, Rustie Lee is threatening to sabotage the new series of 'I'm A Celeb' after being refused a place in the Australian jungle. She was turned down as the show's producers had already signed up Antony Worrall Thompson, also a chef.

Rusty is now threatening '' to hire a helicopter and get dropped in...'' The programme makers have issued a statement....... ''Granada, were inundated by celebrities desperate to re-ignite their flagging careers by appearing on the show...''

Well she did get her nose into BB doing that cooking segment with our Alison on This Morning - talk about double vision!

As much as I liked Rustie Lee in the eighties, it always struck me that there was something slightly dodgy about her personality, that she had some sort of murderous streak or something. This story can only add to my suspicions.

I guess Rustie's scorpion recipe just wasn't as good as this -

Antony's Scorpion snack !!!

Rather sums up the whole "I think I;'m a celebrity Get me on here" mentality.

Really cannot see the attraction of this type of programming. (yes I know its a free country and I don;t have to watch it : and I won't be. I think I know where theres some drying paint that need an eye kept on it )

I put it all down to Blue Peter, and Saturday morning TV when they started to put pop groups etc on because it was cheaper than thinking of original programming and making things with sticky backed plastic, and encouraging young girls to phone in to ask inane question like "Oh (swoon, swoon) Brian, whats your favorite colour" etc

Which has fostered this fawning approach to 'celebrity' i.e. people who have appeared on a CRT in my front room - not much of a claim to fame really is it

Well last years IACGMOH and BB3 was a darn sight more interesting then most tv last year, on my opinion.

I think Rustie Lee's reaction just shows how many celebs were vying for places on ths show.

Possibly because of the way it completely changed the way the public perceived a few of the last series' contestants.

Great PR, two weeks in Australia, and a raised public profile.

Is it any wonder Rustie is so desperate?

Don't think Darren day or Nigel Benn would agree with you.

She sounds so keen in interviews I wouldn't put it past the woman.

Some people are just TOO desperate to be on TV.

But look what it did for Tara P-T and Christine Hamilton, to name but two. I found myself actually thinking they were okay when pre-IACGMOOH I couldn't stand either.

Christine's underwater diving near the end of the series' was pretty impressive. I didn't think she had it in her!!
