Just wondering, now The Nelson's secret is out, and before long everyone will know the families real name, and will probabally be taken off the witness protection scheme due to the fact the people after them has been arrested, does anyone think it would be better if the Nelson's were reffered to and credited by their real name "Ellis"?

I highly doubt it as their real name is Harris

Morgan or Ellis? Where did that come from?!

Kuuuuuurty Harris doesn't have the same ring to it as Kuuuurrrrty Nelson, so I'd want to stick with Nelson.

Yes, i was just being pedantic - I think they'll stick with Nelson as viewers may get confused if they've missed a few weeks.

The brothers who held Katy hostage and shot Tommy were Morgans. Perhaps thats where you've got that name from?

Was it just me who was hoping that Mike Reid would stumble on the set and demand:

Where's my bleedin' NELSONS?

as he did a number of times in East Enders.

The Nelson's original name was Harris before they were put under the witness protection progaram, so lord know's where the name Ellis came from, also the Morgans were the names of the two brothers involved in the stabbing in which Angela Harris gave evidence against them.

Ellis came from the fact I misheard them when they said "Harris"

You have to wonder why the family were put there in the first place. The Street has had more than its fair share of disaster, murder, robbery, hostage situations (Sally Webster has such a short and selective memory) and such like. What better place to quietly slip a family on a witness protection scheme!

Presumably the Morgan brothers will be tried, Angela, Tommy and Kurrty will have to give evidence and they will be sent down (doubtless at Weatherfield Crown Court) and the family will either live in peace (let's hope not) or be subject to more attacks. On the other hand they may eventually move on, although from what Angela told the Police last night it seems she is set on staying.

Anyone else think that Angela should give Sanctimonious Sally a slap?

I'm suprised that the writers have gone with this storyline with Sally.
O.K. I know she was concerned about "The Girls", but it seems a bit out of character to actually go knocking on the Nelson's door, telling them to go back to wherever they came from.

I don't think 'our Sal' will be very popular with the rest of the street if she carries on like this!

Yes, I thought the same thing. It'd be one thing if she'd said something to Angela if she'd bumped into her, but to actually go round to tell her she shouldn't have moved into the street etc, was just a bit too far. I agree, it was out of character.

I know, Sally tongue in cheek goes round to the Nelson, goes "What the hell do you think your playin at?"

Sally is too overprotective!

Something else that occured to me tonight, if it hadn't been for Tommy Nelson, Sally's best friend (Gail) with her 2 children & granddaughter, would probably be dead now! Something Sally obviously overlooked when she told Angela that she wished they hadn't moved there.

All of which goes to prove that Sally, Kevin and the girls should have been written out ages ago. There hasn't been a decent storyline for any of them since Greg whatsisname tried to attack Sally and their characters are becoming inconsistent and irritating.

Why not let them ride off into the sunset together to start a new happy life somewhere else and give the rest of us a break.

I know this isnt really on the Harris / Nelson topic, but i think the Duckworths behaviour towards Gail and the kids at the moment is atrocious! All comes to a head next week though, after a few smashed windows!!!
