I am inclined to agree with you - and to be honest Bill is really getting on my nerves. To give a contestant help and support is one thing - to show blatant favouritism as a panelist is something else. Don't get me wrong, I like Craig - think he has a lot of quiet charm, and he has definitely worked hard and shown improvement. But to be honest, I don't think he can compare with Daniel when it comes to talent, and I really feel quite gutted to see that Craig is still there while Daniel has gone.
(I know several people who said they voted for Craig as their 2nd favourite, as they were sure that Daniel was safe for a bit longer!) AARGH!!!!

Immediately after the performances I voted for Craig twice, cause I assumed that Lee and Daniel were safe and I wanted Lewis (or better yet, Keith) to go. About ten minutes before the lines closed I suddenly had a bad feeling about Daniel, so I voted for him three or four times. But I really regret those votes I put in for Craig.

Some people are narked that Craigs voice isn't as powerful as Daniels, or Seamus but the public didn't want them as Joseph. When you watch TITM you see the emotion that he is capable of giving, and people like it. Not Craigs fault he's still there. Also, not his fault he has rapport with Bill. Craig loves football too!
Plus if you listen to Bill on any night, he will love them all - not just Craig. He mentioned the fact that Craig has heart because its true. No mystery there

I agree with you, Craig obviously is starting to strike a chord with the viewers and not just because Bill is so supportive. The fuss over Daniel and also Seamus being eliminated is something that even the most dedicated DS fan could have had little sway over.
Comparative to the high number of viewers who watch and vote, the handful of posters on here who are so keen on their favourites are but a small drop in a rather large ocean. I think people get so wrapped up in this world of posting on these threads, they forget that many thousands never come on here and make their decisions independantly and likewise vote that way.
I feel sure that over the next few weeks there will be other shocks and disappointments when favourites are unexpectedly eliminated and no matter what they believe, multi voting by DS posters is not really going to make a dent in the overall result each Saturday.

Unless you know how many votes each contestant got - which I'm sure you don't because the BBC hasn't released the information - you can't possibly know whether multi voting makes any difference or not. Sometimes on these shows the voting can be very close.

The point I'm trying to put over is that there is a great deal of difference between the number of people who actively vote and also post on here in comparison to the bigger picture of the many thousands of non Digital Spy contributors who just watch the programme and vote, who would never dream, or maybe be aware, of these these threads.
Unless of course your trying to tell me that there are many more thousand people posting actively on these Joseph threads than I can spot.

Well, close or not, there's no getting away from the fact that Daniel was the least liked contestant last Saturday. This flies in the face of the following he had on here.

As both Italiangirl and myself have attempted to point out, it looks like a lot of Daniel fans out there thought he was safe and either didn't bother voting or voted for someone else (i.e Craig) because they thought he was in more danger.
Obviously they regret their actions now.
If ALW had saved Daniel last Saturday, I have no doubt that his fans would have voted in droves to make sure it didn't happen again.
Voter apathy or overconfidence is always a potential problem in these reality shows. In the last series of x factor Simon Cowell was always warning against that with regards to Leona. A friend of mine was a big fan of Ben on the same show. The night that Ben ended up in the bottom 2, he had voted for the McDonald brothers in an attempt to oust Ray Quinn and/or Eton Road. He was devastated when he realised how badly his strategy misfired. And, yes, obviously this is only one vote, but if he was thinking along those lines, then it is more than possible that other people were too.
