Region 1 problems.......................

On my player I get a slight flickering on the top left hand side on region 1 dvd's. Does this happen to anyone else???

Proline DVD2000, I've tried Pitch Black and Meet the Parents and they both flicker.

Your DVD player is likely to have an option to change the NTSC output signal from either PAL60 or NTSC... try changing the setting and see if that helps....

PAL60 means a UK only standard TV can cope with the American NTSC picture, but it's a sort of trick, whereas NTSC output is proper American signal output, most TV's can cope with proper NTSC signal automatically. Maybe this might help your problem.
