Under most Nokia phones go onto the camera, then go to settings and turn camera sound or noise or whatever it is off.

Is there an options menu on the left when you go to camera? I have a 3220 and it should be similar.

Go to camera, click on options, click on settings, scroll down and you should see 'Camera Sounds' click on that and it should give you the option of turning the sound on or off.

Let me know if this helps

I've got the same problem with the Nokia N71. There are four camera sounds to choose from but no option to switch them off altogether.

I can't stand the sound because I know that there is no real shutter on the camera, and it just sounds really tacky.

I read somewhere that in somecountires it was against the law to have a camra that did not make any noise. So with mobile phones being sold all over the goble they have to make them make a noise.
