Philips DVP3020/05 Help?!
I bought this DVD player for my boyfriend and i was wondering does anyone know if i can get videos recorded from my camera to play on it?
What format would i have to save the file as on the disk? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks |

Not directly.
Most digicams record video in the Motion-JPEG format, and I don't know of a single DVD player that supports it. If you had a DivX compatible DVD player you could use a software encoder such as SUPER to convert the videos to XviD AVI format, but since the DVP3020/05 doesn't support DivX the only remaining options are to convert to a) DVD format (best quality), b) Super VideoCD format (middling quality) or c) VideoCD format (poorest picture quality). SUPER supports all three AFAIK. Hope this helps. |
