O2 have now accessed my account and turned off the annoying balance alert messages lol When i did email them though they did ask me for:

Date of last top-up
Method of last top-up
How much last top-up was
And 2 numbers i text or phone regularly

So i sent them all that in a reply and waited, they sent a reply back saying its been done and i have just sent a text and they are now gone!

I used to be with O2 years ago on pay as you go. They were really cheap then, especially at the weekends when I used my phone most often. I only used to use £10-£15 per month.
The call charges crept up though and ended up costing me alot more.

I emailed O2 about their lack of internet access on PAYG, here is the reply:

Thanks for emailing us about providing full internet access for our Pay and Go customers.

I'm sorry if youre disappointed with the Pay and Go internet access through O2 Active. We've found the majority of Pay and Go customers are very happy using O2 Active and feel our service is outstanding and a safe environment for our younger customers.

O2 Active has something for everyone and these are just some of the things you can do:

- Hear the big news as it happens.
- Play the latest action-packed interactive colour java games.
- Dress up your mobile with the latest ringtones, TrueTones and wallpapers.
- Find out who's topping the charts or making the news in the music world.
- Bring your phone to life with funny, extreme or informative video downloads.
- Plan your weekends away with lastminute.com, ebookers and Ents24.
- Find essential info like train times, taxi numbers, maps or lottery results.

This is not to say that full internet access on Pay and Go will not be offered in the future. I've forwarded your comments and the link to our marketing team and thank you again for taking the time to write to us.

This just re-affirms my opinion that O2 are being left far behind. The services they offer they do very well, but need to act together and offer a modern range of services.
