32" or 37" lcd or plasma around £700

I am really unsure what to get as the market is so full and confused... for me anyway.

I will be using it for my XBOX 360 and eventually sky HD, I dont watch DVDS and will not be getting hd dvd or blu ray player. I would like the ability to plug my laptop into it if thats possible.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks

1080p

2 or 3 hdmi connections

make/ brand/ size up to ypu

you may want to re-consider HD as lcd/plasma not as good with normal signals. it takes HD signal to be watchable in my opion but i will probally get shot down in flames

It's 1080P, 2xHDMI.
I have the 42" model and I really love it.

edit: I've just realised you're not interested in blu-ray/hd-dvd. As you will only be using it for xbox360/sky/laptop, 720P should be sufficient so maybe a cheaper TV will be better for you.

Alright, i recommended this tv to my work college. Its a sammy 40" lcd, 1080i, 3 hdmi ports, need i say more and only £722 from dixons. She is in her 70's, and wanted a big tv for less than £900, wanted a sony but i said sammys were just as good, have i recommended a good one??

What made you think Samsungs are as good as Sony?, although I know that some of the idiots at Dixon's have been telling customers that they are the same set! - funnily enough after Sony stripped Dixon's of being a dealer!. Dixon's have since backed down though, and are now Sony dealers again!.

Just my opinion , a tv is a tv if it has the same spec, is it not. I dont believe in paying more for a brand name.

Different TVs can have the same spec but picture handling and quality will vary widely.

You need to compare the pictures between them, as I've just suggested in another post, it's like comparing a BMW and a Kia.
