does anyone know what time BT's evening calls start from? I would have assumed 6pm, but some companies start theirs from 7pm.

6pm (and they end at 6am).

If you use Primus Saver Option 2 CPS though, their 'daytimes' start at 8am (so free UK 01/02 calls - of up to 90 minutes - can be made for 14 hours overnight).
