i would not read to much into what Alex west of the people says.
Its only his piece of journalism that has not been picked up on by others.But sounds good,and has done its job as Mr Alex West would have wanted.Its got people talking. |

A brand consultant analyses what the organisation does and creates some generic themes that are meaningful across a range of potential customer groups. From that comes mission statements, values and competencies. A global brand consultant operates globally......

Of course it was gobbledegook. They are brand consultants. They earn megabucks for talking gobbledegook to gullible senior managers. They add very little (if anything) to profits. They are not salespeople (unless you count the selling needed to get the contract in the first place). They are consultants - they tell you the time and borrow your watch to do so.
