I just bought one of these Samsung Bordeaux LE26R87BDX 26 LCD things but I have a few issues I carn't sort out reading the manual.

1. I carn't get my old Sky Remote (non plus version) to operate the TV using the Samsung codes.

2. I carn't understand how the picture in picture works, the option in the menu never lights up.

3. I've tried to put the sound through my HIFI but carn't get any output.

Does anyone know the solutions to do any of the above?

You'll probably need a later revision Sky remote than you have. A new remote now should operate it.

PIP only works on a couple of the inputs, i think it's HDMI and VGA?

Is your HI-Fi set to the correct input?

HiFi works fine if I plug the same leads into my VCR.

I did have another remote I bought a while back but carn't find it, may aswell upgrade to Sky+ and get one with that.

Well, yeah, i suppose you would get a new remote with Sky+, you can get a standard Sky Rev 8 remote for a few quid on eBay though.

Regarding the audio out, are you sure you're connecting to the right output?

Yea says Audio out just above the scart socket.
Is there anthing I have to set in the menu's as I couldn't find anything obvious.


SORTED the sound' it turns out I got the wrong cables insterted, I thought they were going to the HIFi but were infact coming from the VCR I really need to clean things up behind the units.
