I have a dark smudge on the inside of my 19 LG monitor, it looks like a dirty thumb print, the pixels are all working but it is annoying when viewing a light even coloured screen.
I decided to accept it rather than get a non smudged screen but might have a dud pixel or two (more annoying I feel) I assume it's some pressure mark that occurs during manufacture but I am not sure. If it's really annoying I'd take it back. |

hmm it does sound like a stuck or dead pixel, on one of my LCD panels I could gently rub the screen with a soft cloth and the pixel behaved itself, sadly it finally decided to stick to green, luckily it's not too noticable.

Panasonic have several permutations for number, colour and location of dead (dark) pixels, but allow 0 permanently on pixels anywhere. |
