As anon said Ally Ross merely refers to ALEX as a contestant whereas he singles Kate out as a 'no-mark'.

Since the topic of this thread is about Kate - I would hate to be accused of turning it into another ALEX thread.

Isn't being an ever spreading no-mark considerably higher up the pecking order than a mere contestant?

I didn't see RI:SE this morning and would be interested in a fuller report, if anyone would like to oblige?

I have a Kate allergy, so cant watch......but I bet the preccedings went something like this......

Minimal clothing, cheesy grin, high energy, bouncy, bouncy, happy, happy.....inane banter........

But some men and kids will love it.

OK, anon, I'm not going to say anything more than this - Kate's twin sister was there, plus (I think) her other sister, one or more of her friends, and her 'Nan', and they are running a viewer-involvement feature called 'Date Kate's Mate'. Is that enough information?

I did catch the end of RI:SE on Friday and heard that Kate's family and friends would be there to 'support' her.
I did think this was rather odd, a bit unprofessional for a presenter and smacks a bit too much of BB final night.
Can you imagine MDS, Edith, Ian or Dougie for example dragging their families in for support on their first day?
Then again, Kate's twin seems to be a bit of a wannabe too although I didn't see her this morning.

Well maybe just a little. Kate was physically beautifully presented.The hairstyle and face/hands were pretty.
Her clothing would not have put any old codgers at risk of a heart attack - but the lean and fit body lines might.
Apart from a minute or so worth of pressure showing through at the outset, her style was a mix of polish and natural disposition- an honest mix combining duty and application of individual self.

The main guest were So Solid Crew (15 or so of them) with Iain and Kate simultaneously interviewing and chatting with them.
There was a point when one of the 'So Solid' crew ended up making a comment to Iain which defeated/diminished/scared him - Im not sure which - but it brought him to a temporary halt, and Kate filled that spot and moved the tempo back up and on.
That's it. She was good, very good.

I don't know why Kate's family were there, but one of the positives to it for me was that the set therefore had plenty of people about and it did create a party atmosphere, which is better than a quiet empty set with all the effort homing in on the presenters and their guests, where the effect often brings - me anyway, to experiencing the rest of the atmosphere as being behind the camera, whereas the amount of people on the set this morning off camera and on varyingly, created as I say a bigger atmosphere, perhaps they should have held a barbecue as well.

Laxative television ..... covers it..... so fake, too much make-up, limited vocabulary,usual stuff & rubbish from la Lawler.

No worries... it will all be over for Lawler when BB4 finishes. She will be well past her 'best before' date, competing with another lot of wannabe TV presenters,RI:SE audience share back down (as the BB morning updates come to an end) & having served her usefulness to C4 (as Davina's 'ready-to-hand' stand in for BB4).....she will return to her rather sordid private life.

Why does one article by one critic rate so much attention.
