Problems with Phillips DTR 2520
My Phillips DTR 2520 has suddenly developed a problem! Every couple of minutes it switches itself off and then back on again! This only happens when it's switched to BBC1. Every other channel works perfectly. I have tried retuning all the channels, including deleting them first but this does not work. I have also tried unplugging it for a while but still no good. Any body have any idea what is causing this?

Philips set top boxes are notoriously unreliable and buggy.
Is it still under warranty? If so take it back to the retailer. |

So basically, there's not a lot I can do except replace it? Oh well! I'd better go and find the receipt!!

What do you think of the Thomson DTI6300 PVR? I have been thinking about buying a recordable DVD player or a PVR for a while now, would this one be worth considering?

Not at all.
If you're wanting a PVR for Freeview then the Humax 9200t or Topfield is the one to go for. If you're after TUTV then the only option is the Thomson for TUTV Anytime. |

I need the card slot for Setanta Sports!
According to the specs for the Humax it states: "Common interface slot for Top Up TV (needs card and CAM)" I assume that means I can install a CAM to still allow me to watch Setanta? |
