he can sing perfectly well enough for this role and his acting and dancing are better than at least two of the remaining boys.
He is average at acting - dancing hes good, but not that big a thing in joseph, and his voice is not good enough to play the role 8 shows a week.

[quote=Jocko Homo;14791603]completly the right decision tonight. ALW is right when you are acting a character you can't just suddently burst into a grin and play to the audience, which was what Craig did.

His Close Everydoor to me was the weakest to date too.[/QUOTE

Absolutely agree! Craig's rendition of "Close every Door" was emotionless and flat. When I think of the emotion that Daniel conveyed the week before - I think that Daniel possibly was the very best with this song.

how? it was so poppy and whiney with too many annoying trills and closing up of the throat, like crappy r n b singers. It was not a musical theatre performance, Craig is not a musical theatre performer.
Neither is Ben. He hits the wrongs notes all of the time and is always getting out of breath, especially if he has a fast number to do. He will never cut the mustard. He doesn't have the stamina.

If you thought that then I would hate to hear Ben singing, as a musical lover I can't say that I have ever noticed if the lead actor smled in the wrong part but I'm damn sure I would jnow if he hit as many bum notes as Ben.

Singinging should come first , acting second, you can learn how to act with time but if you can't sing well, you;ll never sing well
I agree - craig reacted to the audience, not the end of the world, singing as badly as ben did, ok if you are singing kareoke in a bar sonewhere, terrible if you are a west end leading man!

No but seeing as he is already being portrayed as arrogant after the comment about ALW not knowing what he was talking about then you would think he would be trying not to appear any more so....he is always sure they are wrong and he is right...
One of the requirements in the role of Joseph is to be able to portray arrogance. Maybe he was just getting into character.

Yes, he's OK at the uptempo dance numbers but anything where the slightest bit of subtlety is required he's laughably inadequate. I was cringing at 'Crying' tonight

He should have been in 'Grease' rather than 'Joseph'...all you need there it appears is some good dance moves, a big ego and no real talent

I wouldn't go to see Ben performing at my local library theatre if they were giving the tickets away for free...

Grease is the word didn't want him - he got eliminated before the live shows!

Is this true? My sister this evening was saying he was more suited to Danny Zuko than Joseph.

I think hes doing fantastic and deserves to be still in the competition.

However you maybe right about the arrogance a number of people have informed me about it.

Yep - but i am not suprised he didn't get through, he has an attitude, which is not a good thing, especially when he would have to work as part of a duet, plus, his voice isn't strong enough to hit the higher notes.

I was laughing, he was supposed to be portraying vunerability but all I could see was a little boy looking cross.

Or if you listen to other posters he chose to do Joseph instead.

That's why he's unpopular, then.

I agree ben isn't the best vocally but acting wise I love him. And I would pay £50 to watch him for two hours.

Maybe he should audition for a show that doesn't involve singing then.

Well you have more money than sense then!

He was totally out of tune several times in his song.
He just isn't right and I can't imagine why he is still there when better singers have been eliminated.

There is absolutely no comparison between Daniel's voice and Craig's.........that said, there is no need to kick a guy when he is down, and I know how sad I felt last week when Daniel was voted out. I don't want to make things worse for Craig supporters.
