He is he is not up to this role. Neither are the large majority of them that are left either. ALW messed up with his choices.

There's no point me saying anything beyond that, because people will now try and prove their point of view, when subjectivity has no way of being proven. You're going to get complainers whoever goes and whoever wins, I think it takes away from the whole thing to bicker over it and make up conspiracies or suggest unfairness.

Although Lee is my favourite, I don`t think it`s cut and dried that he`s going to win, as A.L.W. does appear to like Ben. (I can`t think of a good reason for saving him after his awful performance otherwise) And I do honestly wonder if he could cope with performing night after night......

I agree that there isn't any conspiracies, its just a tv show, ALW knows what he wants for his show, and he chooses during the sing off according to what he wants, simple. ALL reality tv shows are like this, and few are ever "fair" and purely based on talent.

I agree that Ben is very ordinary. Not atrocious or anything, just ordinary. I wouldn't go and see him in a theatre if he had one of those funny trays round his neck selling little tubs of ice-cream with wooden sticks. (Do they still have these?!)

On balance, Ben has grown on me and just because he's young and does nothing for me doesn't mean he's rubbish, but when he did that horrid fist thing when saved the first 2 times, that made me feel decidely eughyuck (how do you spell that noise that Phoebe from Friends makes?!)

Yes, this is just a TV show but the people in it are real and who are we to sit here and slate someone just because they're not our favourite. They're working really hard to put on a show - some are obviously nicer people than others! My opinion is that Craig improved tremendously over the weeks whereas Ben has remained the same, just getting angrier each week. Lewis is a total 'nanny's boy' who wont last a week with out his mummy and nanny if he wins and has to move to London. Keith is a strong contender. Lee has upped his game massively. In the first show Zoe said that although he had experience he wasn't any where near the best vocal, also he is the only one she called 'rubbish'. The fact that he was chosen to duet last night is a testament to his improvement vocally. Obvoiusly he wins from a body point of view - Keith in a loincloth is just plain silly.

You're wrong there - Lewis has been at stage school in London since he was 13 - I think he was just trying to get his courage for what was a very scary task (Lee said it was the scariest thing he had ever done). I actually think that Lewis is pretty mature for his age he is only 17.

Yes but Lewis was the only one who screamed and cried. Accept that I wasn't aware Lewis lives away, but he's still a 'nanny's boy'. He is probably more than capable of being the winner but he is not selling himself at all well with the crying. He's got a week to 'toughen up' otherwise he'll throw it away for himself. His performances aren't what's letting him down.

he is only 17 - ben and keith have both acted like brats and they are older. i also think alot of the boys have cried at some point, and i think lewis is acting in some ways with ore maturity than keith and ben.

Agree with you on that one. I'm just saying that it would be a shame if the public put him in the bottom two because of the crying (which the BBC edit in a lot). Not saying I want him to win either because I've got my tickets and am watching with fingers crossed for Lee!

Wake up mate, Ben might be good looking and attractive to all the girlies but as far as singing talent goes he is abysmal. If he gets past next week it will be an absolute farce.

Actually 'ordinary' is a really good word to describe Ben. I'd rather not be nasty about him, but ordinary just sums it up - ok singer, maybe slightly better than ok mover on stage, ok actor, ok looking - but just not better than that!

Their 18 and 19 that's hardly that much older than 17.

I think thats a pretty good assessment too - ok, on a couple of songs i think he has been terrible, but mostly hes been ordinary.

To be honest I think a lot of people are massively insulting to these performers, and I find it rude. They all have talent, we disagree about who's better, but those who spend their time tearing down the others, I think it's wrong, and I bet not one person who has had a go could do better on the show.

As for Ben himself, he's into the semi-final of a big TV competition, he's got through over hundreds of others, he's got some really great comments from people who are big in the industry (if not, massive), including peop0le who think he has the potential to be the lead in a west end show...

...if that's ordinary, I wonder what sort of high-flying lives the posters are leading

I don't really see why it's relevant whether we could do better - we're not on the show! But I've been an amateur musician for a long time and have heard heaps of kids sing. Ben is really nothing special vocally - there are loads of kids his age with better voices and whose singing is as good or better. The only reason he's there is because he can move on stage and has been lucky to be saved by ALW on several occasions. It doesn't make him a genius.
