How cruel. They all might as well give up now.

Shouldn't laugh but their faces were a picture
They were all so insulted and when ALW so patronisingly told them they were not just backing singers after the duet I half hoped one of them would blow him a raspberry (at the very least).

Yea but in all fairness non of the others would have done the song justice. It was obv a ploy by the producers.

Loved Lee in the duet but I did think it was very unfair on the others.

Do you really think he was picked by the Canadian singer? Maybe I'm just getting a bit cynical in my old age! I do agree though that Lee sang it better than any of the other singers could have hoped to.

The reason I asked was that in the clip where Josh Groban was listening to them before ' making his decision', I thought Keith sounded better than Lee - this is inspite of the fact that I actually much prefer Lee to him.
I did find it quite funny that they weren't even really needed as backing singers - they were just there to smile and click their fingers! |

This show, has been a total farce right from the start tbh. Lee Mead HAS already won this show. As in all honesty, he shouldn't be in the competition in the first place, as he's a pro singer/actor already and not an amateur.
He deserves to win though, as the others (except for Keith) DON'T deserve to win, as they are hopeless. |

I was glad it was Lee, but I did feel sorry for the others. |

Graham Norton was really funny straight after when he said it was good to see how pleased the others were for Lee!

The thing is, Lee is always pleased and supportive for the others.

Shows how completely unprofessional the others are, particularly Keith. If they're too "gutted" to even pretend to be polite with the cameras rolling, then a West End role is way past their abilities.

At least they had the sense and decency to speak the truth unlike if it had been on American Idol they would have faked how pleased they all were to be in the background haha. I like the way ADWD has managed to get the honest competitive element back into one of these shows, I'm fed up of all the sincerity faked on the other shows.

![]() Imho the others are just 'bit players' in the programme. Lee is superb and his absolute talent was acknowledged by JG and ALW and Uncle Tom Cobley an' all.

I thought that Keith would have been far more suitable with Josh, I also don't think Josh choose who sang with him!
But one thing came through plainly Lee looked as old as Josh Groban! and his hair once more at the front looked a complete mess, he just does not fit the criteria that ALW was supposed to have set? - Lee received so much praise with "Daydream Believer" but I thought it was all virtually sung on one tone, very Karaoke! but he does seem to be Andrews "Chosen One" Now the Public need to think carefully in the next two weeks - I could not listen to Lee for two hours! and he could not cut it in a recording studio! Once more the level of The Band was far too high with nearly all the guy's having to struggle, I expect more for Nigel Wright as a leader and arranger, does no one listen to the mix level - the band sound as if they are just on a trip. |

It's ridiculous to suggest that Josh didn't pick Lee. Josh isn't some patsy who you can push around. He is an international, highly regarded musician. If they had lied about him while he was standing there, he would have spoken up.
