I think that's a bit unfair (and I speak as a Lee fan) I think Keith just fopund it really hard to hide his disappointment.

The whole duet set-up was totally unnecessary and unfair, quite obviously. Instead of giving them all a turn with Josh so we could compare their voices on an equal playing field we get Lee dominating the whole thing, surprise, surprise!!
I'm quite willing to believe Josh did the picking but ALW and co must have had a shrewd idea only his vocals at this stage are polished enough to have grabbed Josh...though I do think Keith comes in a very close second....Ben and Lewis trailing badly behind. I don't think that was why Keith was miffed - I think he was just really disappointed not to be singing with Josh who seems to be one of his musical heroes

I agree - Keith was the one whose eyes lit up when Josh walked in. I think he was genuinely really disappointed to have missed out on the opportunity to sing with him rather than thinking about how it would affect the competition.
I don't blame him - or the others- for being disappointed. The whole thing seemed a bit divisive to be honest.

Well it depends what kind of competition you´re talking about. They don´t all have advantages and disadvantages. A talent competition for example, usually ensures that at least each person gets an equal amount of time to perform. I completely understand the ´reality ´of reality TV and how things can swing to and fro between contestants depending on who says what, if anyone has argued, if someone has a sob story etc and it can have nothing to do with their performance. Of course if your favourite is effected it can feel unfair - and we can all argue about all these various factors.
But I´m not talking about that. I accept that there will be advantages and disadvantages for the contestents (based on what the judges say, what they have to say, how they´re edited etc.) and unless we ban comments from the contestents and the judges, we have to accept it. What I am objecting to is the fact that some are being given extra opportunities to perform to the public than others. I think this is both unecessary and unfair. The basic principle of ensuring that all contestents are given the same opportunity to perform to the public is something that should be maintained. Its not a difficult thing to achieve.
Btw I appreciate that Lee could have muffed it and it would have worked against him. I also appreciate that people might object to the bias and go against him the same way. Its not a ´get at Lee´ post as such. This doesn´t take away from the fact that the producers allowed one contestent to perform more to the voting public than the rest. This is unfair in itself, regardless of who benefits or looses out of it (personally speaking, I think Lee will benefit from it, just as I think Keith would have benefited from it had he been the chosen one.)

Joseph is a great show and it would be enjoyable whether the very best was playing him or not, and I think most people are stupidly harsh on this forum.
Plus they attach far too much to personality. Look at Seamus, I think he was horrid, but I think he'd put on a hell of a show.

Well that is your opinion, but personally when i see a show i like the lead to actually be talented and be able to handle the part so that i get to see a brill show and great performances.

I can't stand Keith (sorry, it's an attraction thing, I just find him unpleasant to look at) but I think his attitude was genuine disappointment. Let's remember he's not been trained in acting so much yet that he could cover it up with a grin. Which is another reason he shouldn 't win. Just not ready for the West End, I'd say.

I don't think you have the right to rubbish other people's opinions and then talk about your opinions as if they're facts.
Personally, I don't think Joseph is that great a show. When I saw it before (a touring production), the lead was a guy with plenty of charisma, but who couldn't really sing that well - he was often out of tune. I'm afraid it really put me off and I found myself looking at my watch a lot. So there's no way I'm going to see it again unless I have enough confidence in whoever wins that I won't have to endure the same thing!

ALW didn't choose who sang the duet - and i don't think anyone knows for sure who is going to win, ALW seems to favour ben - the public seem to favour keith and lee(the haven't been in the bottom 2), but lewis also still stands a chance, so its anyones game.

Yeah, a different class completely it just sounds totally haunting and its in a much higher key, a third up from Josh's version which I think gives it much more power.
I can understand Keith being disappointed because its one of the songs he's sung in competitions, and you're right that they were only being honest about betraying their feelings about being hard done by. I just wonder why they didn't wait until the cameras were turned off.....maybe its better that they're not American and false...I dunno.
